Anna The scent of slow-roasted meat, rich spices, and caramelized sugar filled the air, wrapping around customers like a warm embrace. The Queen's Delights was the crown jewel of the city's culinary scene, known for its best selection of pastries and the most tender, mouthwatering meats money could buy. A five-star confectionery that I had carved it into existence with the same precision I used when slicing through flesh. Who would ever believe that behind the pristine glass counters and glowing five-star reviews, the owner was the popular Queen of Doom.

Like he hadn't just been standing there shaking with his head down. A pause. Then Syris's voice through the speaker. Quiet and dry like always. "I wasn't aiming for you, Varek."
