My name was Roxy Monroe, and I was the campus belle at the art school. Before graduation, I needed to find an internship. I landed a position at a public institution where I just had to deliver supplies every day. I thought it'd be a very easy job, and since it was a government position with good pay, I agreed without hesitation. Only when I got there did I realize they were sending me to deliver contraceptives to the slum. These people were all simple-minded but well-endowed poor folks.

I doubt he would even apologize anyway. I took a taxi to my coffee shop and smiled when I saw Dominic and my part-time staff enjoying their work. "Good morning. Welcome to Sweet Isabella's—"Dominic's words trailed off the moment he saw me. He narrowed his eyes and let out a sigh. I smiled and took the empty seat, glancing around the place. The customers were mostly high school girls, giggling and smiling at Dominic and my part-timer. I had to admit they were attractive, so I couldn’t really blame the girls. It was an advantage for the shop, anyway—I liked it.

The smugness in her voice was hard to miss. That created an uproar. “How can the legendary founder of L&L Design be a servant?” “She said she was in Kings High. How can a servant be qualified to study in Kings High?” “Who is this woman spewing nonsense?” “She looks like a cheap woman, while Mrs. Liliana exudes the aura of nobility. One should at least make a believable lie.” “Yeah, she is a jealous bitch spewing nonsense.” “Oh, that’s Lydia Aprice. She has been trying to bang President Smith for years already. The Aprices sure are shameless.”

She says with a small giggle. "You will stop second guessing your abilities to lead and you will rule right beside your mate. That is an order." She jokes with a hint of seriousness. I nod and smile up at her. She holds her hand out and a golden staff apears. I immediately bow down and she dubs me Queen of werewolves by tapping the staff on both of my shoulders. "I now dub thee Mackenzie Roseline Lathen as Queen of werewolves and Luna of the royal pack. Do you accept?" She asks and I look up at her.

Queenie said, her voice trembling, "I know Nikita's very important to you, and the truth is, I never once tried to replace her, but I still hope you can spend more time with me and the baby, Spencer. Nikita has a house full of maids to look after her, and she has her parents as well. I have no one. You're the only person I can count on, Spencer." Queenie lowered her head. A glistening tear clung to her eyelash, and it made her look even more pitiful. Spencer sighed. The truth was, he fell for Queenie precisely because she had no one. I'm starting a new novel! I'm so excited to share with you guys the other novel I've been plotting lately. Queen Of Ace What is this novel all about? =If you haven't read my first novel, His Fragile Flame, I uploaded in this app, this is only "a part" of it but can be read as "stand-alone". This story was written in different character's perspective and her back story before His Fragile Flame. You don't have to read the first book to understand this novel, and I think it's better if you read this before that because HFF has spoilers.

She claimed the farthest corner seat, dropping her six-figure bag careless on the plastic chair beside. "Spicy kick?" The lady checked. "Load it up," Sophia grinned. "I'm a spice fiend." "You got it!" The woman hollered back cheery. Sophia had craved heat since kid days, but skin-care strict these years kept her from the heavy stuff. Roadside joint like this? Time to drown the hurt in fire. The lady hustled over a plate piled with chili-dusted wings. "My own blend—secret recipe. One taste, and they're hooked."

"Queen Nicole, I will investigate this matter immediately. Such an incident should never have occurred on my turf." I waved a hand dismissively. "No need. The culprit is right here." Merla flinched at my words, then hesitantly stepped forward. "Um… my dear fiance, you must be mistaken. Nicole was just a cheerleader from my high school. How could she possibly be the Queen of the Mafia? "I mean, we've known each other since high school. If she had any sort of background, wouldn't I know?" Even at this point, Merla clung to a sliver of hope. As far as she knew, I was just an ordinary office worker, barely scraping by at the bottom of society.

He flashed me a charming smile then moved closer to my ear. "But I like spitfire better." He calmly whispered in my ear in a smooth voice that sent chills down my spine and made my panties wet immediately. Yep definitely not letting him go.
