“I’ll keep watch, since two of us just means more weight to collapse something. And your night vision’s better than mine. But I’ll be listening right by the entrance. And be careful, okay?” He nodded, kissed me, ripped off the padlock, and disappeared into the bowels of the giant-spider-infested, uranium-poisoned earth. They were probably mutant spiders. Yeesh. I paced near the entrance to the mine, amusing and horrifying myself in equal measure by imagining what would happen if Calder got bitten by a radioactive spider. He’d probably turn into the Hulk, only ten times more terrifying. Finally, as I started to get antsy, I heard footsteps returning, and Calder reappeared a moment later, shov

Sebastian gritted his teeth inside the cockpit, his high-frequency carbon blade turning into a lethal net of blue light as he swung. Snikt! Boom! He sliced three leaping mechanical spiders in half with a single strike. Purple, acidic blood splashed against the Aegis mech's armor, hissing as it corroded the metal. He seamlessly raised his right arm's rotary cannon, blowing another spider that tried to flank Harper's mech into scrap metal. But he was only one man, and the swarm was endless. The world was no longer silver; it was a violent, hemorrhaging violet. Ryan Carter didn’t scream as the Watcher’s ultraviolet beam struck his chest. He laughed—a jagged, metallic sound that cut through the vacuum like a razor. His carbon-fiber ribs didn't just break; they turned into white-hot filaments, siphoning the Watcher’s energy directly into his own failing core. He wasn't fighting as an Alpha. He was fighting as an engineer who knew exactly where the demolition charges were buried in his own soul.

They’d been trying to erase this place. I shifted back into my human form. The others followed. Roman slowly walked toward one of the burned trees. “This wasn’t natural.” “No,” I agreed quietly. I crouched near the remains of a massive web. The silk had melted into black strands. Someone had burned everything they could reach. Raiden stepped around what looked like the remains of one of the giant spiders. Its body had long since dried into little more than a brittle shell. “There aren’t many left,” he said.

“Got it.” I slide under its body, my shoulder nearly grazing its bristled belly, and slash upward. I feel my dagger tear through soft tissue. Not deep enough although the spider jerks and hisses, staggering for half a second. Enough for the other close-range dealer on the left—Chris—to hack into its thigh with brutal precision. His axe bites deep. He’s slower than me, but hunting experience makes up for it. The spider reels. It tries to twist, to reposition—but Phineas is already on its front again, slashing with his sword, a blur of silver. He slices off one of the small antenna looking limbs on the front of the spider.

We'd be saving a large percentage of people with different neurological illnesses and that is worth waiting five years! The elevator door opened and I walked down the hallway until I got to my apartment door. I punched in the codes and the door unlocked but I was not prepared for the sight that welcomed me. “Surrender now, doctor octopus! You have nowhere to run to!” Alfred exclaimed with one leg on Easton's chest who laid on the floor. “Oh really? You underestimate me, Spider man. I'm not your regular villain!” And with that, Easton raised him up and threw him on the couch.

He quickly walked to my bed and I got off, grateful for his sacrifice. “Your death won’t be in vain.” I put my hands together in the form of a prayer, hoping Taranis makes it out of this grave situation alive. He bravely fought the spider with his life and will not be forgotten for as long as I live. Well, he had just taken his other slipper and smacked the spider with it so it squashed with all of it’s legs flattened out against the floor.

Jeff scanned their faces. “Jeff.” Kevin made his way to his son’s side and viewed the lifeless bodies. “What have you done?” While his father spoke from what seemed like miles away, Jeff replayed Mr. Drake’s final word. He hadn’t understood at first but was now transported back to the teacher’s lecture: ‘Many spiders have spinnerets that aid in putting out silk for their webs.’ Everything came into focus like someone adjusted the ring on a pair of binoculars. He met his father’s eyes. “You should run.”

An underground devil man wearing a bronze mask had revealed his true form at this moment. After a pale green light flashed, he suddenly turned into a bronze spider as big as an island. He opened his mouth and could swallow a city. The bronze covering the spider's body was engraved with an ancient runes, making it even more ferocious. "Die!" Caspian spat out one word coldly and then punched down. Peng! The giant bronze spider was immediately smashed. Behind Caspian, a zombie king crossed its arms and tore it apart with bloodshot eyes. In the torn void, a big hand full of eyeballs stabbed into the back of Caspian.

However, Lucas had never witnessed his combat prowess. Previously, in the Mountain Range of the Fallen Rocks, Lucas managed to make Sven a Rank 5 Zombie. Additionally, Lucas obtained Sven the zombie skill, Triple Ghostly Murderous Sword. Thus, Lucas now wanted to have a look at the strength of the Triple Ghostly Murderous Sword. The Humanoid Spider fixed his gaze on Lucas after sensing that Lucas had no intention of letting him go. It wanted to have a deadly match with Lucas. "Charge forward, my kids!" The hundreds of Rank 1 to 2 Humanoid Spider beings swarmed at Lucas.
