Sir Borracho's voice boomed with authority. "Bonbon!" the Pranaiahn yelled. His body illuminated like a beacon, a radiant glow emanating from him. As his body shimmered, the silken threads that adorned his form seemed to come alive, each strand moving with a life of its own. The threads snaked their way towards the stingers, ensnaring them with a tenacity that defied their size. The fibers constricted around the stingers like a web, immobilizing them.

I’m startled while I’m sprinkling some paprika on the edges of the plate and over the omelettes. “Who the hell is Drew, and why you got teardrops on your guitar?” Xander asks me with a raised brow and a very serious expression. Resting his one hand on the counter, peering down at me. Wearing only his spiderman boxers. “Timika your eleven, who is this, Drew? I will beat his ass! What’s going on here?” he says. Clearly upset, his brows in a deep frown. I am completely taken back.

“I’m working on my plan about him.” Spider shook his head. “Like anyone would believe that. I’m starting to wonder whether that rumor about his golden dick is true. Is it really golden?” It wasn’t; not physically, anyway—not that he would ever find that out. “What’s so special about him?” Spider huffed.

Turning to face me with a stoic expression, he advanced, and a chill ran down my spine. Instinctively, I took a step back, uncertain of what he might unleash. Fear gripped me, my heart pounding in my chest as his intense blue eyes bore into mine as if attempting to dissect the very essence of my soul. As he drew closer, he leaned in, his lips brushing against my ear. "Do you know what I do to those who refuse to obey?" he whispered, sending shivers down my spine. "Trust me, you wouldn't want to know," he warned, pulling away to scrutinize my face before cupping it in his strong grip.

Xander pulled her in and pressed a combination of buttons that got the lift moving. “You know what your problem is? You think you’re invincible, you can save the whole world and come out unscathed. In case you haven’t noticed, genius, even Superman has his kryptonite.” Serenity huffed, getting irritated at his dismissal. “Oh I’ve noticed, the sling on my arm and bullet hole in my side happens to be a constant reminder.” He shot back and dragged her out after him. For a moment Serenity was stunned into silence, somehow Xander didn’t seem to be saying the words to her, but rather at her.

There was a dragon tattooed down his whole back. Looked so lifelike. I was half expecting it to start moving. My eyes trailed further down to his lower back, where the letters S.I.X were inscribed. So wait six isn't actually a number, but an acronym? He turned slightly, enough for me to get a view of his front, but not for him to see me standing there.

I slammed my siphon down, releasing every bit of the electrical current that I had somehow pulled to me, sending him backwards and out of the cage. I pulled back the roots to see him lying on the ground, half his body was charred and burnt but he was still breathing. Silas slowly crawled to his feet, swaying back and forth. "For Zafrina." I said pulling a root, piercing one of his legs. "For Xander." I said pulling another to pierce his other leg. "For the guardians." I said piercing his arm. "For all those women you have hurt." I said piercing his other arm. Silas was screaming in pain and there was not an ounce of me that cared. "For all the others that you have tried to kill." I said pier

Every time I flare, it gets tighter!” ​“Don’t flare! Melt!” I commanded. “The silk is water-based, Winnie! Use the telluric heat! Reach for the core, not the sun!”

“What’s funny?” “Spider isn’t a ‘she’,” Mac explained. Curtis, Dillon, and Luke blinked, and despite the gravity of the mess, the other men grinned as they watched the penny drop. “So… wait a minute,” Luke said slowly, since it was clear that Dillon and Curtis – both of whom rarely spoke at the best of times – were struck utterly mute. “So… so… Spider is a man?” “Yep,” Mac said. “Complete and total.” “And Spider is Ace’s ex? Ex… ex-partner?”
