I see no humor. "He's..." Jewel points at me unable to speak. Pepper picks up where Jewel left off, "He kidnapped an eagle shifter and she's turned him green," Pepper says with laughter between every other word. "What?" I yell. There's no way. She wouldn't. Blood splattered on the earthen alcove covering them. The other two ran in opposite directions, but the spikes split as well and went after them. One climbed up a tall tree which shook as the spikes nearly lifted it out of the ground. The other one ran some distance before facing the spikes and driving his staff into the ground. He stopped it with an earth attack of his own. "Burn." said Dorin. The ground around the mage suddenly burst into flames so intense that the remaining earth spikes began to glow. The attacker stepped back from the inferno, moving his staff in an arc, covering himself in a protective shield.

Freya was too sick to defend herself and the other girls had barely made it to the tree-line before being apprehended by more soldiers in combat fatigues. She had no time to react though because Omar was suddenly charging at the other male, jaws snapping as he aimed for Lucas' shin. Lucas was faster despite being in his human form but his eyes flashed amber as he darted out of the way with ease and grace. Omar was quick to recover though, twisting in a flash to lunge again. This time he did connect with Lucas but the male was there to use Omar's momentum against him, the giant wolf's body slamming into the snow with a thud.

The action causes thin quills to grow from the harness and weave themselves around my body until they form a short protective dress made from the lightweight metal feathers of Hedone’s Stymphalian birds. Spaulders made of the Colchian dragon spread over my shoulders. As the body armor tightens to fit me, I roll my shoulders, grab the sword out of the compass rose, and take a defensive stance.

The sound of rushing ocean waves echoed faintly through the temple ruins. Very swift. Very precise. The punch slammed heavily into the Sacred Flame warrior’s chest and blasted him backward several meters. The Sacred Flame warrior growled furiously and lunged forward again. Torch smiled at me "we have a lot to talk about." When I turned, I saw that Torch had a black metal arm where his silver hand used to be; seven massive shoulder spikes jutting out that he had gone to the lengths to decorate with baubles, bells, and tinsel. He wore a white halo of thorns around his head, which matched the ones wrapped around his wrists. His red shirt depicted a small child being eaten by a silver beast, that I guessed was Korvin. His silver shorts had black outlines of spiked plants down the sides, which were repeated across his white shoes.
