No longer stifled by ghosts that haunted me. Timidly, I opened the stable door. Pepper kept looking at me. Deep into my soul. I smiled and held up a palm for her. She stepped forward, sniffing it a few times before bowing her head slightly. Maverick handed over the halter and I quickly tugged it over her head. Where was the hot streak now? We lead her to the opening of the stables. Soon enough, Maverick had picked his horse for the day. A black colt with tufts of fur on his hooves. Hair more graceful than my own.

Especially her soft, fleshy hips, snug against my front… Perfect. Madeline seemed frozen, unsure what to do. She didn't dare lean back against me, yet didn't know how else to move. "Madeline, let me teach you. Hold the reins." I wrapped my arms around her, placed the reins into her hands, then covered her hands with mine and pulled downward firmly. The horse responded at once, breaking into a lively run. The wind roared past as I leaned close to her ear and shouted, "Isn't it exciting, Madeline?"

I raised my hand slightly and motioned for John and the other royal warriors to inspect it. “Your highness, it's the spy we sent. She's back!” John muttered as he checked the carriage. “What do you have here….Back so soon… Jane!” I walked toward the horse. It stood still as I approached. It was a rare breed, unlike ours—this black stallion was three times bigger, more muscular, and it had a savage look in its eyes. But it made no sound, almost like it's following a strict order. It looked like a machine made to kill but I would easily end it's life with my ring.

"Lady Pipa of House Valen!" Louder cheers. Pipa's black stallion danced beneath her, as restless as its rider. Her emerald riding habit stood out like a poisonous flower among the more subdued colors. She blew an exaggerated kiss toward the royal box. Ryden might as well have been carved from stone for all the reaction he gave. "Lady Mira of... the royal kitchens." The deliberate pause before my title drew titters from the stands. I ignored them, focusing instead on the chestnut mare the stablemaster had assigned me, a good-tempered beast named Sunchaser with kind eyes and steady nerves.

Princess Emerald Mamma and Denu left a week ago, I felt lonely at first and Desirey and Morgana never exactly made me feel welcome; thank the Goddess for Rain. Getting to know her has been great. Why did he not call me to tell me that something is wrong? As I step into the stables, I can hear Luke, another one of my ranch hands, softly whispering. I am stricken by fear as I get ready to face what lies around the corner for me. Morning Star is my favorite horse, she is the very first one that I bought when I came to the ranch. When I get to the stall, there is immense confusion on my face. Morning Star is standing there on all fours as she is patiently waiting for the filly to stand.

Just when Storm was worried she wouldn’t like his gift, Raina’s face broke out into a smile that stole both our breaths away. “Is this a gift for me?” she asked, her hands held together in front of her chest. Storm nodded his wolf head and started wagging his tail back and forth acting like a lovesick puppy. Raina’s icy eyes welled up with tears as she stared down at the dead stag at her feet. For a while, she didn’t take her eyes off it until she looked back at Storm and gave a soft smile just for him. Her tear filled eyes held endless affection for my wolf.

The only noises which could be heard was that of the ticking of the cloak and Rain's soft sobs. "I am pregnant.", Rain cried out. "Oh dear.", the old woman held the shaking girl in her frail arms. "Its okay dear.", the old man with white moustache said in a comforting way. Rain slowly shook her head. She knew it was not right. She knew it was not a part of her perfect plan. "It's not.", she yelled at the top of her lungs. She fell on the ground with a thud and soon she cradled her face in her tiny hands. She didn't know what to do now. Yes that night was full of raw yet gentle passion but both the persons were drunk and complete strangers.
