Spirit stood before us but her manic smile wasn’t the one that had made me take a step back, no it was the large residue of black soot that took over the wall behind her and had a figure like that of a horned goat that had astonished me. This figure had been famous in books to have connection to demonic entities and I wasn’t sure if this was true but even to see it formed at such a large scale was already boggling enough. “You like it? Nor do we have the chalice and we’re not battling in the Holy City.” He felt Ava’s hand laced into one of his, allowing him to explain further. “A Spirit War is what we’re in the middle of, fighting for the souls of this world.” He glanced around the room. “But it seems that he wants to have a war here in Spokane.”

I had to get an emergency loan just to cover it. It’s completely unprofessional, manipulative, and a total abuse of power.”
