I see our mixed blood glow. The glowing liquid travels through my veins, giving me the spiritual wolf authority of this pack now. These people are now bound to me and me to them. I feel the glow travelling everywhere. But when the glowing liquid moves through my mind. A sharp pain stabs my head. I hold my head. I hear all these whispers. I collapse onto the floor shaking and holding my head. The whispers get louder and louder.

One spirit pinned my shoulder, its weight crushing, while another slashed my chest, fabric ripping as skin split open. Blood soaked my shirt, warm and sticky, and the curse amplified every wound, turning pain into fire that consumed my thoughts. Visions looped in my mind—Isabella's kiss with Caleb, her swollen belly, my lonely death. Doubt rooted deeper, sapping my strength, making my strikes slower and weaker. "Get out of my head," I gasped, rolling to avoid a descending claw and kicking upward to disperse a spirit into fog. But they reformed instantly, pressing in tighter, their whispers turning to shouts. "She belongs to another. You’ll die forgotten."

In my defense, I'm doing a service to humanity. I lift my gaze toward my father. "Okay, according to this site, 'Bible Today'—what kind of name is that, anyway?—it says the poor possessed person should be tied up. Apparently, the evil spirit controlling their body—these are the exact words—tends to get violent at the sight of holy water, a cross, or a Bible." I look back at my dad, and we both turn simultaneously toward little Amanda, who’s smiling at us, completely clueless.

My heart tightens for some reason and that excruciating headache when I think of Balin’s actions restarts and I groan in pain. “I have to get out of here,” I mutter, trying to push past the pain of the headache. I have to go to Balin. I have to find the truth. I nearly crumple in sheer agony as the thought crosses my mind. It’s a stupid thought but I’m beginning to wonder if my brain has been possessed or something. I grab any bit of furniture I can to support myself and make my way to the door. My head is filled with confusion and rampant thoughts. I’m trying to make sense of Balin’s actions but I’m staggering with pain any time I try to sort through these entangled threads within me.

Placing a hand on my head, I feel a headache coming along. “Damn it, it’s like reading the same thing over and over again.” Sarah, who doesn’t even look half as fazed as me, continues to flip through her fifth book with ease. “We can't give up yet; I am sure we will find something in one of these.” I wish I had as much hope and enthusiasm as she did. I pick up the next book and flip through the pages lazily. For a brief second, something catches my eye. I flip back a few pages to see exactly what it is. It is a picture of a bleeding wolf standing before a divine being.

“Ahck, what is all this? What? Ugh, my head feels heavy.” “Just relax and it’ll be better in a moment. Since a lot of information just flowed into your mind in one go, you’re having a headache because this is the first time you have experienced something like this.” After a few minutes of resting, his headache was already gone and was feeling a lot better. “UGH, that surely is a new experience. So, you are truly God, it is an honor of mine to meet you! And even have the chance to converse with you like this.”

Head pounding, stomach rumbling Elinda Milburn tried to open her eyes. She sat, her eyes still closed, and she had to sleep again because her head was spinning. "What is wrong with me?" She asked herself as she massaged her head. Slowly, she opened her eyes and looked around. It was so dark that, for a moment, she thought that maybe she had gone blind. It took a few minutes for her to recall what had happened earlier. "Am I dead?" she asked herself. "Am I not supposed to be in heaven?" "Why is it so dark in here, or is it that I am in hell?" She screamed inwardly, looking around her in fright.

"But there is another way through which my headache can be cured...not only headache but every type of problem." He said with a thoughtful expression.
