Chapter 18: Uncle Greg MIA My family is all kinds of weird, there's my uncle, Greg, my dad's elder brother who is the family’s black sheep. They are cold-hearted, self-absorbed, and power-hungry people, following the stupid traditions that only favor them. And my uncle is the biggest moron, a vampire who has stopped eating to maximize his powers.” His eyes burned with rage as he growled. “Grandpa’s response made it clear that Uncle had spread the news of your divorce in our community. Joe suggested. "What for, Uncle?" Clara was surprised. "You already know all my family members; I also want you to know what my job is!" Joe showed his seriousness to Clara. "Uncle is a CEO!" Clara said. "What's that?" "The title of a novel I want to write, of course, it will have a happy ending because Uncle Joe and Clara will live happily ever after!" Clara answered casually. "Go to sleep! What, do you want me to seduce you?" Joe joked, his smile adorning his lips. Clara always made him happy with her simple jokes.

Clara moaned softly after Arthur's finger brushed past her scalp, making her tensed body relaxed. “ You know so much about them, uncle, do you think it will work?” She asked as Arthur's hand stopped moving, making her open her eyes, “ what's wrong?” She asked, seeing his face all stoic. “ The next time you call me uncle again, I'll fuck you till you forget how to speak,” he threatened making her burst out laughing for his childishness

Camille added, loud enough for people to hear. Murmurs suddenly filled the hall. I knew what she was doing, she was trying to further humiliate me. "If you hadn't already married my uncle, I would have considered making you my concubine at least. . ." He paused as he allowed his words to sink. "How unlucky you are." That was another slap to my face. He disrespected my status as his uncle's wife and openly commented on making me his concubine. I suddenly hated that Adrian had to be the one to inherit the throne. He was nowhere near fit to rule.

I looked at their faces waiting for someone to answer me. "We are Bankrupt!" "Well, As long as no one is terminally ill then is ok.... Wait!" I turned to Dad to be sure I just heard what he said correctly, "What did you say?" "Your uncle introduced your father to an investment and after your father put everything in, the investment failed. Now we've lost everything and we have a lot of debts" Mom explained while cleaning her tears. I looked at Mom blankly because I didn't know what kind of expression I'm supposed to make right now, "Is Uncle Bartholomew that introduced you to that business right?"
