(Presentation day) Patrick's P. O. V " No....no...NO!" I yelled from my sleep, panting. Shit, i was having a nightmare. Thank God, it felt so real. Taking in deep breaths to calm my jittering nerves, I ran my hands through my hair. Why would I have a nightmare of Sylvia dying in my hands? We've barely even talked the entire last week? " Maybe it's just my subconscious playing games with me." I muttered, dismissing the thought. I didn't sleep well last night. I couldn't stop thinking about New Jersey. Maybe that's why I had the nightmare.

All she could see was a sea of blood and a burnt body crawling towards her. Sarah jolted awake in a cold sweat. She checked the time and realized that it was still early. She had been asleep for less than half an hour, but the nightmare had scared the sleepiness right out of her. Jasmine heard the screams and ran upstairs. She entered Sarah's bedroom without knocking. "What's the matter? Did you have a bad dream?" Sarah looked spooked. "Mom, I had a nightmare about Zoey haunting me." Jasmine comforted her, "It's okay. You didn't technically kill her. She had an accident and went off the edge."

That morning I'd just gotten up and, traditionally, said my good mornings to Sam triple zero eight, then the story stroke up. We were having a conversation of a book I'd just finished reading, 'No, Mr Harry Botter, do not turn me into a witch.' Believe me, it was a real book alright. The author was named Harry Botter, so he was the main character of his novel. Stories like that, what do they call them again? Paranormal stories, they were always fun to read. Partly because they were stupid, other part, they were nonsense. Nothing but ridiculous lies.

I reached out, grabbing at nothing but air. Then I was falling. Tumbling. A crash of pain as my side,my back, my head hit the hard marble steps. Then a final,crushing thud as I landed on the floor below. A scream ripped from me, not from the bruises, but from a sudden, tearing agony in my very core. A hot, wet flood spread beneath me. “MY BABY!” I shrieked, curling around my stomach. “NO!” Through the blur of pain, I saw them at the top of the stairs. Evelyn’s face was twisted in hate. “Serves you right, you wicked creature!”

Sam wasn't home yet. My breathing was ragged, and beads of sweat ran down my face and my back. "Shit!" I muttered under my breath, as I realized I had just had a nightmare; a bizarre one. I reached for my phone, turning it on to see a message from Sam. He had texted me about forty minutes ago, telling me not to wait up for him. I let out a breath I didn't realize I had been holding, falling back on the sofa and looking up at the ceiling. What the fuck was going on in my head?
