STEP CLOSER, MY STEP BROTHER
I could’ve dragged her away from this fire and bent her over a dune until she was saying my name again with those breathy, broken gasps.
But instead, I stepped into her space.
Close enough that only she could hear me when I said, “Keep pushing me, baby. See what happens.”
She smirked. “Maybe I want to.”
Then she turned and walked straight into the waves.
Every head followed her.
Her skin glowing under the moonlight. The water swallowing her body, bit by bit, until only her head and shoulders remained.
I could feel my control snapping.
Someone elbowed me. “Damn, your girlfriend’s a savage.”
