River witch

River witch

Maya staggered forward, deeper into the still-sea. The dagger pulsed. The Testament burned. She opened it—and the ink ran upward across the page. > “Fourth Tide: The Windborn Cradle. Breath is life. Breath is fear. You will face the first breath. And if it sees your fear— It will take your voice forever.” --- The cradle rose from the sea. A floating temple made from rotted sails and whale ribs, circling a spiral staircase of wind. Above it, floating in the stillness, a figure.

JWGStout has done it again! I loved the story and character development. The story really is a roller coaster, and I’m so happy for Lamia! But there are so many questions at the end, and so many opportunities for the other leading characters. I can’t wait to get into the next 3 books!

I really enjoyed this series. Many books on this platform have similar stories, which gets boring really fast. This book series kept me entertained the whole time. It had the perfect balance of romance and action. I enjoyed getting to know each character in more detail as each book was added.

The Hunt For Freedom

The Hunt For Freedom

If there were mountains, there might just be people. As the day fought and lost to the dark, the little maid noticed the tide rising. What was a sheer drop for the poor children earlier was now just a mere drop. This would make her secret cave uninhabitable during high tide. She made a mental note to learn how often the tide changed. As she sat planning she didn’t notice that she had stopped scrubbing. She was pushed to the floor by another child and scraped her cheek.

The Awakening

The Awakening

“Besides, I don’t want to spend my life serving a pack that never offered me a home. Why should I shred my spirit to lead people who treated me like a ghost?” We walked toward the palace hall, the grand stone arches looming like the mouth of a beast. With every step, the rhythm of my heart grew louder, a frantic drumming against my ribs. By the time we reached the heavy oak doors, the sound was deafening. Music sounded like senseless noise and the smell of celebration suddenly made me feel nauseous. “I can’t wait for us to finally belong somewhere. Good luck, June,” Lia whispered, squeezing my hand before drifting toward the dance floor.

Sacrificed to the Flood

Sacrificed to the Flood

"Naomi, I was blind to be with you! Even if you're the heiress to the Janson Group, I must save Eva first! That's because she's much kinder and humbler than you. She's not like you, constantly living in your fantasies! You disgust me!" Then, he urged Eva onward. "Don't bother with that lunatic. Let's go!" Eva leaned against him and flashed me a victorious smile. She looked at me and mouthed the words silently. "Just die already." As the rope ladder rose higher, the waters were already by my nose. My limbs had been frozen for a long time. I had to tiptoe to barely breath. I was slowly losing my will to live. Perhaps, I was going to die there. I let go of my hand, letting the flood waters take

Rising from the Ashes

Rising from the Ashes

Sure enough, he saw the blue fog outside recede like a tide, withdrawing all at once. The entire Wraith Graveyard fell silent once more. Andrew asked, "How often does this tide appear?" Rosemary replied flatly, "So, you're not completely stupid. At least you're asking the important questions. Fine, I might as well tell you. The Cerulean Tide appears roughly every three hours, but it doesn't happen every day. I haven't figured out the pattern yet." Andrew ignored the veiled insult in her words and continued, "How long have you been inside here?"

Reynir Kjartansson
Very good story and the ending was relatively good since each part of the story give a obvious closure. The audio book is also available the whole story. Other authors should follow this example. There is nothing worse than a forced ending or a cut off story, so this story gets all stars, great job!

The Rise Of A Slave

The Rise Of A Slave

I heard Roger finally speak with the crossbow on his hands. “Stop!” Roger warned the man loudly. “Give her to me.” The man’s low voice burrowed into my heart with his scent. Author’s POV Valentine was walking alone along the roadside of the Dead Forest the moonlight reflected on his body, revealing his long cyan hair that fluttered gently with the wind he was on his way back home when suddenly, “Hm…? Humans..” He noticed a group of cargos moving in a row along the bumpy road of the Dead Forest.
