Alma sat cross-legged across from Ezra in the dim-lit room. He was staring at his palms, as though trying to make sense of what they were capable of. “I’m scared,” he said quietly. Alma’s heart twisted. “You’ve faced worse.” He nodded slowly. “But I’ve never felt hunted.” She reached out, holding his hand. “We’ll protect you.” Ezra’s lips barely moved. “She’s not coming to hurt me. She’s coming to take me.” Petra entered, holding a schematic. “You were right,” she said grimly. “SAPPHIRE wasn’t just a backup, it’s a mirror system. Meant to function with ORION, not after it.”

The spiral was now fully exposed, its grooves glowing faintly not silver like the Pact’s traditions, but a deep violet, pulsing like a quiet breath. I sighed and told them what the spirit told me. “But why only to Lady Seraphina? The spirit could have just meet Sir Zale, and since he is a water element user, the heir to say the least, why not him?” Asked Notus while looking confused.
