Kennedy After a grueling evening of scraping injuries and cleaning out silver from wounds, I felt exhausted. When the last warrior left, I checked with Deborah and told her to head to bed. “Just… don’t let them break you again.” I leaned forward, pressing my forehead to hers. “Not today.” At Harrington Tower, Adrian and Marcus had been awake all night, drowning in paperwork, coffee, and determination. When I walked in, Adrian looked like a man running on sheer willpower—his shirt sleeves rolled up, his tie loose, his jaw tight with exhaustion. He didn’t look tired, though. He looked dangerous.

For the team. For… other reasons.” I didn’t ask what those reasons were. I finished the ultrasound and moved to manual therapy, my fingers pressing into the tight muscles. He let out a small groan of pain but didn’t complain. As I worked, I couldn’t stop noticing how exhausted he looked. The dark circles under his eyes were worse. The bruise on his cheek from my slap had faded to a faint yellow, but it was still there. A reminder of how angry I had been.

Squirting some hand sanitizer, I dug right in. "Drew, don't you want some?" She looked curiously at her stuck up boyfriend, his eyes darting from the popcorn to me, I knew he wanted a handful, the only issue was he would have to take it from my hands. "Oh no thanks, I'm fine." He smiled pleasantly at her, it was of course a fake, but Cassandra didn't see it that way. "What are we watching?" I asked stuffing my face with another handful of popcorn. "Superbad."

Josh pressed, wanting clarity. “Again, I don’t know. I’m completely confused right now, bro. This is all too much for me to handle. I can’t even think straight,” Adrian said, his voice filled with exhaustion. His life was unraveling faster than he could comprehend, and he was beginning to feel like he was drowning in his problems.

It was quiet, too quiet. Then he heard the calm slithering sounds from under the water, one dip was all it took and he was grabbing a squid and biting hungrily into it. Both Alexander and Easton choked at the action, their disgusted faces like a movie displayed on a projector screen. "Oh, wow, he just ate that alive," Easton's voice muffled from pressing against the glass. "Told you he could make sushi out of you."

And I guess I am tired so getting dizzy since morning" Ishu explained and takes care of the remaining things in the function. "If your function is over, can I get my green tea?" Sid asked Swara as she pouts. "You are making me work all day, Siddharth bhai. You didn't even care about my baby bump?" Swara asked as Sid laughed at her dramatic lines.

For the first time in a long time, I feel like everything is going to be okay. As Savio finishes cleaning me up, I start to feel myself drifting off to sleep. My body is utterly exhausted, and I'm on the brink of passing out. I try to stay awake, though, not wanting to miss a single moment of being with him. But my eyes refuse to stay open, and soon enough, I'm completely asleep.
