I listened with half an ear to the men as they talked about their new 'squad' at least that's what Lyon had decided to call it since as he says organization sounds too much like law enforcement and he hates any f*ck that has to do with that f*ckery. His vocabulary is even more colorful than Gideon's, and my brother has got a fine grasp on gutter speak.

But after much thought, she couldn't find a suitable one, and the two of them walked in silence again. After walking for a while, they arrived at Northbay's most famous snack street. Isabella grabbed Quinn's arm, "How about we stroll around this snack street?" Quinn nodded. The weekend saw a large crowd, the entire snack street was packed with people. Every stall was overcrowded, and people had to queue to buy things. Smelling the aroma of the food, Isabella's mouth watered. She particularly craved for grilled squid. She pulled Quinn to the back of the line, earnestly introducing, "The grilled squid from this place is especially delicious, I guarantee you'll want more after you try it."

I ordered the mushroom arugula pizza and spaghetti alla chitarra tossed with fresh tomato, basil, and parmigiano, along with their strawberry Letter 235 cocktail. Sebastian went for the tie-dye pizza, ricotta ravioli, and eggplant parmigiano, pairing it with their Tough-to-Peel cocktail. We shared bites of our meals and enjoyed each other's company. I was still eating something when his phone suddenly rang. “Sorry,” he said. “I have to take this.” He stepped away. Minutes passed. Then he returned. “I’m sorry, Zara,” he said, avoiding my eyes. “Something important just came up. The driver will take you home.”
