Who said Paris was the Goddess of love?

Who said Paris was the Goddess of love?

Like Grandma Jocelyne, Judith knew what she wanted in life, but this dreadful August 15th had given a nasty surprise. The day before, kisses, words, and gestures of tenderness had been exchanged profusely. This breakup had happened as quickly as the others. She had counted them in a notebook. Thirteen. Just as unpleasant as a day in a heatwave without a single drop of saving water. Brutally victim each time, she flooded the couches of the shrinks with tears and made her bank account go through awful states.

The Author: Back To High School

The Author: Back To High School

“What happens after that?” “Well--uh..” He didn’t think further than that. They were still young. He might get attracted to other girls and end up breaking up with Dawn. Or if they could manage to keep it until College when they might have to separate eventually, since he’s planning to enroll at a university located at such a long distance. It was normal for couples to break up after all. Relationships didn’t have to be too serious the whole time. “Anyway, that was my answer. I decline… Now, if there’s anything else, I’d like to go now..”

When He Threatens The Rich Girl

When He Threatens The Rich Girl

There were 3 stages that I need to go through in order to say that I am finally giving up on that person. Stage 1: When that person tells me personally that he/she doesn't want me in their life. Stage 2: If they become consistent with it. If they kept doing things that scream dislike towards me. Stage 3: This is the last stage, I will try my very best to repeatedly ask if that person really doesn't like me to be in their lives, one month for this- if after one month nothing change then...it is the time where I need to let them go.

The Boyfriend App

The Boyfriend App

“You better. My mom insists on giving me this Nokia that has like buttons on it. Can you imagine? I’d be so ashamed to take it out in class. I’d rather be phoneless.” “I don’t think I can stand being loveless now.” “What did you say?” “What? Oh nothing. Nothing.” “All right. Well, even if he did do something nice to you, you should never get back together with him. I read somewhere that’s one of the stages of a breakup.” “There are stages to a breakup?” “Duh. Yeah! Seven of them.” “What stage am I at now?” “Um, one.” “Great. And what stage is that?” “Shock.”

Ex-husband’s Regret

Ex-husband’s Regret

But lately, when I reached out, I would find nothing and wake up in the middle of the night, feeling empty and dazed. Many people said that the hardest part of breaking up was not separating, but adjusting to life without each other. When you called out in an empty house, there would be no one to answer. But fortunately, time was the best healer. Eventually, it would pass. Ryan fell silent for a moment and suddenly asked, "Must it change?" "Otherwise, Ryan, we'll both start new lives. You will, and so will I." I unscrewed the ointment and helped him apply it, then put on a new bandage. "Okay, the medicine is applied."

the book was amazing at the first but there are too many characters and chapters so it's getting boring but if u end the book with Charlotte and Ryan patching up again then it would turn amazing and there are two many parts just end it asap ...but still great hard work ...️

Begin Again

Begin Again

She watched them now make their way through the room, carefree and in love like they never left her broken and bruised. In the first two weeks post their breakup, she was in numb disbelief and too busy trying to explain to her parents and everyone around her why her intuition was so off the mark about Simon. The worst, though, was calling all hundred guests to let them know it was okay to use their wedding invitations as toilet paper because there wasn't going to be a wedding. She spent the four weeks after, floating between disbelief, crushing sadness, and rage. She went through all the stages of grief in those weeks.

Almost one of the best. Hence, totally agreed to one of the reviewers chapters leading to the end of the novel less interesting perhaps too much effort in making some catastrophe to the story to put some twist. could have made more effort in making the end not to subtle or too obvious.

Val Sims is one of my favorites. Begin Again is the first of her novels that I read and I loved it so much, I had to read all her other works and I love them also. I hope she continues to write because she tells a good story and her characters are believable.

Where We Met

Where We Met

Jessy made consoling noises. Clara went on. "I thought breaking up was the final stage in a relationship. Well marriage was the other final stage, of course. But I guess the final stage in this relationship was..." She inhaled deeply. "Seeing him with another woman. Hurting again. And telling myself that I can finally let go now?" "This will be the last time he will ever hurt you. No more. I promise," Zaphire wrapped an arm around her and gave her a squeeze. A familiar gnawing ache spread across her chest. Clara drank more wine to ease it, then held out her empty glass to Maya, to which she quietly filled it.

Kiss me 2.1

Kiss me 2.1

Their differences, initially a source of fascination, become the cement of their love. But little by little, reality reasserts itself. Conflicts and Obstacles emerge: Éloïse's demanding career requiring travel, Léo's need for stability, their opposite ways of handling problems (flight for her, silence for him). An argument erupts, fueled by a misunderstanding and the fear of fully committing. They separate, hurt and convinced their story was too beautiful to be viable. This is the Breakup and Separation. A painful period where each returns to their life, trying to forget the other, but realizing that everything reminds them of what they shared.

Ephemeral - A Modern Love Story

Ephemeral - A Modern Love Story

That single sentence, thirteen words, fifteen syllables, were the last things he said to me before he disappeared into the departure gate, leaving me behind with teary eyes and a message on my phone containing a playlist. Each song represents a momentous event in our short two year relationship, and as corny as it seems, I’ve been hanging onto these songs like my life depends on it. Colton told me that the first six months after a break up are usually considered to be the hardest, but it’s been three years since Matthew went across the country and it still feels like I’m stuck in that cycle of post-breakup grief everyone talks about. It’s gotten to the point that I’ve memorized each of the s

Final Breakup: No. 100

Final Breakup: No. 100

Love, no matter how deep, can't always withstand the slow erosion of time. When another woman entered his world, I became invisible. In his mind, nothing was his fault. Everything was mine. He even believed he was the one who had suffered. But what he never realized was that his constant bias, his indifference, and his neglect had worn me down. I was too tired to keep trying. Too unsure to keep hoping. The hundredth breakup was the last—because this time, I truly didn't want him anymore. I straightened my back, forcing steadiness into my voice. "Since we've broken up, it's only right that I return what's yours."
