My heart stopped. “Kai?” I dumped the nylon and briefcase on the door and raced into the kitchen without bothering to remove my shoes. I brought my phone out of my pocket, ready to dial any emergency number I could, only to freeze at the threshold. Kai was standing in the centre of our kitchen with his face streaked with what looked like flour and something darker, possibly soot. He was holding a spatula like a weapon and staring down at a pan on the stove that was smoking so heavily I could barely see what was in it.

The stalker needed no go-ahead command, he placed the active chain saw on the edge of the man’s right arm, screams filled the alleyway, accompanied by the sounds of flesh tearing and bones breaking, tears rolled down my checks and my heart was beating, I had no idea why I was crying, he deserved it but the pain… The chainsaw was cutting through his bone and flesh 𝒔𝒍𝒐𝒘𝒍𝒚, his right arm dropped on the ground, blood splattered everywhere, the stalker's face didn’t look like his anger was reducing if anything, it increased, badly.

I could hear her coming down the stairs to open the door. “Who the fuck is it?” she yelled from behind the door. “Bitch, open the fucking door, it’s cold out here!” Instantly, I heard locks being unbolted and the door knob turn. Poppie opened the door looking fucked up - she lookedfucking tired. “Shayla!” she screamed. “Poppie!” I yelled in return. We grabbed each other and held on tightly. “Bitch, where you been?” she said, stepping out the way to let me in the door. She closed and locked the door and we walked into to her apartment.
