The whispers grew louder, more insistent. " I... have come... for you…" I took a deep breath, trying to steady my nerves. Monica had always taught me to trust my instincts, and right now, my instincts were telling me to listen. As I gazed around the field, I noticed some movement far in the distance, coming from the canopy of trees just at the edge of the forest. It was a fox as white as snow, almost blending into the sunlight filtering through the trees. Curiosity overwhelmed me, so I stalked closer cautiously. The fox stood still as I approached, its bright eyes watching me intently, as if it was waiting for me. There was something almost magical about it, something that drew me in.

The fog slinks across the ground, wrapping around my ankles and giving my calves a chilly touch. As I reach the middle of the third ridge, I notice some movement. I heard a rustling sound on the left. Then a chuckle. Squeaky. That's really high. "Oh no," I mutter, slowing down. A glowing figure darts between the trees. Then another. Then three. Four. Glimmering, silvery, and suspiciously fox-shaped. "You lot again." The spirit foxes pop out, showing off their sharp little teeth and eyes that shine like polished moonstones. They bounce around me in a circle, their tails waving like flags.

A FOX. I changed direction and trailed after the fox. “What is Nyxora doing out here so late?” was the only question on my mind as I followed the silver trail. The fox was out of sight, but its trail remained, and a smell reached my senses …blood. I paused and leaned my nose downward and sniffed the blood. A wolf’s blood? My eyes turned dark, and I took off. How dare Nyxora shed wolf blood in my land!?

Breath filled my chest in a hard drag. "Fox," the honshu said. "Alone in the wrong line." The dragon pressed under the honshu voice. Too fast for a stray. Chase it. The panther agreed. Run. I ran. The fox hit a vent stair and took the turn fast. I cut the corner, claws sparking. The wards stuttered once when my mass hit a scanner, then corrected. The fox cleared a short rail, slipped a gate, and slid into a side tunnel. It didn’t vanish. It looked back once. It wanted me to follow.

“Your hands are fidgeting, your gaze is suddenly weak, and your breaths are pretty shallow all a sudden. Someone that was oblivious wouldn't react like that.” “I told you I don't know what you're talking about. Now let me out of this car—” “Fox. Silver Fox. That's your username, right?” My pulse raced so suddenly, I could hear it ringing in my ears. “I've had my eyes on you for quite a while now.” Wait a second. “You're him” I huffed. “My… stalker.” “Hmm?” He looked back at me. “Oh no, I wouldn't call it stalking. I found you after one of Sabrina's streams. You were performing alongside her and Mia, who's accepted my offer by the way, and tracking you down after that wasn't hard.”

" Little Master.... Prince Akata... Little Master... where did you go? What do I do? " The nanny was of wolf descent. She had no knowledge of that Fox technique Akata used. She rushed out in panick and informed the guards. An immediate drumroll of emergency followed, waking the entire palace up. The Fox soldiers tried tracking his steps but it was not an easy feat for them either. He had already mastered the art of hiding his scent from his track. The clueless guards began scouting the entire palace and some were deployed outside , around the entire kingdom. At this time the Fox king came out of his room, still dressed in his nightwear.

Not until I felt it. A ripple in the air. A presence that wasn’t there before. And then I knew. The Dread Stalkers. They were Zerathos' hunters. The realization sank into me like an endless out. Dread Stalkers. The creatures that fed on fear. That grew stronger the more their prey panicked. That meant they weren’t just attacking. They were waiting for us to be afraid. They could sense the fear and then more they picked us off the more that fear grew.

After hesitating for a moment, the Celestial Fox cautiously approached. Ambrose stood still, allowing the Celestial Fox to inch closer. The Celestial Fox was drawing nearer and nearer, and they would soon be able to capture it. But as it approached, the fox's nose twitched as it detected Ambrose's masculine scent. Its back arched, and its fur bristled with alarm. In a split second, Ambrose lunged forward, attempting to catch the fox. The Celestial Fox was lightning-fast. Sensing something was wrong, it swiftly changed direction and fled.

My teeth stretch, pricking my bottom lip. It feels like…home. My paws sink into the grass as I take off across the yard. Beside me, a black fox darts between the bushes, bounding over the stone path. Tristan’s emerald eyes catch mine in silent glee. Our spirit animals are bigger than their natural counterparts, with Tristan’s fox nearly as big as any wolf. “Hey!” Cain’s voice roars across the front yard, but it’s too late.

It was a shifter. "Shh," she signaled Julian to stay back. "Wait here. I’ll check it out". In a corner piled with debris, she found a small, silver-white fox. Its hind leg was caught in the jagged teeth of a rusted Hunter’s Trap, the fur matted with dark blood. "A Hunter’s snare?" Julian whispered, appearing behind her. "I told you to stay back," Chloe snapped, though her eyes remained on the animal. She wrapped her hands in Julian's discarded blazer and approached the fox. It bared its teeth, its sapphire-blue eyes wide with terror, but it went strangely still when it met Chloe’s gaze.
