The sight of her covered in blood, unable to heal, made his stomach churn. They hurt her, they made her this way. Wasn't it enough? Losing a child, getting stalked—hadn't she endured enough suffering? The stalking , making her look over her shoulder every second. Whoever was stalking her was probably good at his or her job or wasn't human or a moon creature. They had evaded his detection so far, leaving little to no trace. It was a matter for another day. He clenched his fists, rage battling within him. He couldn't waste any more time. He had to find her.

A sense of panic takes over me until I find a small opening out of the crowd and off the main road. A strange feeling overwhelms me, making my hair on the back of my neck stand on end. The feeling of someone watching me is heavy on my mind. I slightly look over to find that I am in fact being watched by a fox. Tilting its head, it seems to see into my soul. Or maybe he just wants to eat me. I can’t be certain.

We are so widely different it’s barely comparable. Foxes are mostly solitary preferring to roam our territory alone. Because foxes so rarely group up most people don’t even know what to call it. It’s so odd to see a grouping of foxes that depending on what’s going on it has different names. A Sulk, a lead, earth, or a leash are all terms given to describe the odd occurrence of foxes grouping up. We are independent, mysterious, untrusting, cunning, and as the saying goes sly. Yes, there is folklore about foxes as well but just as we are viewed by the world our ledges follow suit. People fail to realize that to be cunning and sly you must observe, you must be patient, and timing is critical. T

Every instinct in his body was screaming to get away, but Flamestrike stubbornly dug his claws into the creature's back. The dog-fox suddenly stopped in its tracks after noticing the extra weight and pain. Flamestrike began striking the dog-fox in different areas to distract it, hopeful that that would be enough to scare it away. It kept trying to shake him off by jumping and twisting around, snapping it's jaws every now and then. He dug his claws into its back for dear life, silently praying that the dog-fox wouldn't throw him off. One good throw could spell disaster for him. "StarClan, what are you doing?" Spruceleaf growled as she managed to reach them.

I sent her a quick text to let her know that we were outside and waited as she came out to meet us. "Hey," she said, hugging us both tightly. "I'm so glad everything worked out for you guys." "Thanks, Stace," Nikau replied, grinning. "We couldn't have done it without you." Stacy smiled back, her eyes lingering on Rusty. "And who's this little guy?" she asked. Nikau chuckled. "This is Rusty, our pet fox. He's coming with us." Stacy raised an eyebrow. "A fox? You guys are full of surprises."
