Damon pressed one more kiss to her hair before heading to the kitchen. Meanwhile, Sarah let her gaze fall to the city once more — her city now. Her home. Her life. She was no longer a fragile waitress waiting for the world to crush her. She was Sarah Draven — fighter, mother, wife. And she had survived. The living room slowly came alive with warmth and familiarity. Lucas arrived first; he let himself in quietly, still wearing the suit from last night’s mission.
