Staring At The Future Mga Nobela at Kwento

he whispers to himself, looking away from me to have a silent freak-out, "That's why your mom wants to use you to gamble? And why you're so sure I won't die young. You don't just 'know' it, but you see it?" "Yes," I finally respond, sighing. There’s no point in lying or deflecting, "I can see the future... I can see multiple futures, to be honest. The most probable ones are very clear, but there's millions of options. A few things are destined to happen, but nothing is ever for certain, so the same thing could happen in a lot of different ways. Say... someone has to die, there's a million different ways for it to happen, but if it's something that big, it will happen even if I tried to stop

Nothing dramatic. Only information about the next stage. Still, seeing it made her smile. Her dream was moving forward. Step by step. One day at a time. She sat near the window. The city lights sparkled outside. London felt peaceful tonight. Safe. Steady. Full of possibilities. For the first time in years, Naomi allowed herself to think about the future. Not survival. Not fear. Not mistakes. The future. A real future. And it felt wonderful. --- At the exact same moment, Lucas stood inside his office staring at the photograph.

Something was profoundly wrong. The Creator slowly raised a hand, gesturing toward the empty air above the core. A new image appeared within the light—not a memory of the primordial past, but a vision of the future. It was a future completely hidden from everyone, erased from the sight of even the all-seeing Keeper. Aurora gasped, her hands flying to her mouth. Luca froze, his smirk vanishing instantly, and the entire network of humanity fell into a dead, breathless silence.

--- And as the last connection to the outside world vanished— As the system entered its darkest state— As everything they had built disappeared into nothing but potential— One final truth emerged: --- Sometimes saving the future… --- Means being willing to shut down the present.

Looking at her had the words slipped into my mind again **The answers that you might be looking for in the future stare you now in the face** What does that mean, that the answer that I might be looking for in the future might be staring at me right now? Is it talking about Amelia, placing my hand on her cheeks? I stroke it gently while still glazing in my thoughts. Something like this has never happened to me before, finding myself in a strange land or being talked to by a buzzard before in my dreams. Staring at me in the face! And what answer can I be looking for in the future?

And this time, when I close my eyes, I don’t think about what could go wrong. I think about tomorrow. About Leo walking through our door. About the three of us finally becoming a family. And for the first time in a long time, the future doesn’t scare me. It feels like something I can’t wait to see.

At that moment, I knew I had come back to the day I first received that call from my future self. The woman on the phone, who claimed to be me from ten years in the future, warned me not to say yes when Kieran asked for the car. At first, I did not believe it. Her number looked the same as mine, but I thought someone was only playing a prank on me. But then she said things about me that no one else knew. She named every secret I ever hid. Thus, I had no choice but to believe she really was the future me. She swore that Kieran would take my BMW and hand it over to the collectors to clear his debt.

I couldn’t wait for the future and what it had in store for all of us! This isn’t the end! There is still more to come. Just wanna make that clear as this chapter ends like an ending, but it's not.

"Well..." "We can provide you with a really good stipend. Believe me, an opportunity like this doesn't come along so suddenly. Of course, just as a genius like you is even rarer. You beat our champion, our prodigy student. We can provide you with a bright future, Miss Davis. A future so bright it could blind those who do not look away." A future? This idea of a future once again leaves me speechless. It's unbelievable how I've spent so much of my life living only in the now, and suddenly all that seems to bother me is what's next. A future - something I never thought about or paid too much thought to.

Madam Florence suggested if she doesn't feel well, she may continue the story another day. "Ma, today is the best day to free my mind. Tomorrow is faceless", she said and drank some water.
