One Night, No Names
I stumble back, bracing myself on the counter, heart racing.
From the next room, Mirabella rushes in, phone still in hand.
“Clara? What the f—” Her eyes lock on the glass, the look on my face. “WTF just happened?”
I swallow hard, breathless. “I heard… something. Like footsteps.”
Mirabella raises a brow but doesn’t question it yet. Instead, she crouches, carefully gathering the larger pieces.
“Okay. Creepy as hell, but let’s not bleed out over broken stemware.”
