Instead, it felt like I had accidentally walked onto a stage. People kept looking. Not staring outright. Just those quick little glances people make when they think you’re not paying attention. Then whispers. Then more glances. Then somebody actually pointed. My stomach immediately dropped. “Nope.” Lila looked up from her phone. “What?” “Nope.” She followed my gaze toward a group of girls standing near the entrance. The second they noticed us looking, they turned away. Too late. I had already seen them. Lila sighed. “Oh.” “Oh?”

She was holding flowers and looking down at the grave. The photo had been taken three months earlier. Vivian's face went white. The comments rolled too fast to read. [Confirmed. When I strummed the guitar, I saw her paused and slowly turned to me. I didn't want her to see me staring at her like a wounded animal so I looked at the guitar and started humming a song. I tried to lift my face again and look at her but she caught my stares. It seems like she’s just waiting for me to look so she’d catch me stealing glances. “Hmm.” I cleared my throat and looked away again. Fck! I feel like a teen caught by his crush stealing glances. “O-Ow!” I was interrupted when she suddenly groaned as if in pain. When I looked at her, she’s caressing her baby bump while shifting seats uncomfortably.

Raven rebutted. She’s not going to let him know that she has been stealing glances the whole time. That would be so embarrassing. She couldn’t even count how many times she had been stealing glances at him throughout the day. Lorcan jeered, not buying her lies. She’s been looking at him nonstop, and he could feel her gaze jumping back at him every minute. He couldn’t even focus on what he was reading because of her hot gaze. Raven had no idea how many times Lorcan had been reading the same line over and over again because of her.
