Terrified. Alone. “No more running,” I say quietly. The shadows shift again. Faster. More aggressive. Reacting. Threatened. “You think this changes anything?” the voice snaps. “Yes.” “No.” “Yes.” I step forward. Directly toward her. The shadows lash out instantly— but they don’t touch me. They hesitate. Because this time— I’m not reacting. I’m choosing. “You can’t rewrite the past,” the voice hisses. “I’m not rewriting it.”

I think I'm starting to fall in love with you. Without Kenzo and Khanza noticing, someone was watching from behind the wall beside the open door. He — Keanu, was observing Kenzo and Khanza while clenching his fists. His jaw tightened and the next second, Keanu closed his eyes. Beside him, Ven's transparent figure looked just as frustrated. Keanu had heard everything from Ven. All the things that happened to Khanza and their connection with what happened two hundred years ago. “Keanu, I really can't see big sister Khanza and big brother Kenzo like this. I won't be able to see history repeating itself. Because I remember all my life in the past. This is too much, Keanu. Can't they be happy?"

Jenny asked. Stephanie shook her head. She didn't feel like that at all. "I don't. I'm just worried that she'll fail." She knew how stubborn Paul was. "Well, that means you're truly over Paul," Jenny concluded. Although Stephanie had said so before, Jenny hadn't confirmed it personally. Now, she had no doubt at all. Stephanie shrugged. "I already told you before. You didn't believe me." "Well, why don't you try getting together with Leonard? You have to give yourself a fresh start." Forget what happened before. If Stephanie did not take the first step, she would forever be trapped in the past. Jenny didn't want to see that happen.

School got me busy and I had very little time for writing or even social media. But now I’m back. I already completed Crave if anyone is also waiting for that, and some of you might have not seen the note there, but I’ll complete my stepbrother this June. I’m already rereading the chapters to get familiar with the plot again and it’s been written. Once I have enough chapters that won’t leave you hanging in between (which is very soon. my cousin David said when he saw my fear and I nodded. He opened the door with the lead and as I stepped inside, a sea of negative sensations ran through my being from head to toe. I hated that I couldn't suppress the fact that I felt like the young girl I had more than seven years ago, and the trembling of fear cast a shadow over my body. I walked at a slow pace without stopping to see the state of the property, I didn't want to remember more than maybe I would soon, I just wanted to get out of there as fast as I could. I climbed the stairs to the room and noticed that no one was following me, which made me frown. I turned to look at them.

I grabbed it and looked at all the contents on my cellphone. "Did I go back to the past? I've read novels about traveling to the past, or maybe transmigrating, but I think it's all just fiction. However, now I'm experiencing it," I muttered to myself, looking around my room. I was determined to make sure of everything, so I rushed into the bathroom to get ready to go to the office. During the trip to the office, I really felt that all of this felt real to me. Suddenly, I seemed to remember something.

Cloaked and ethereal, the figure seemed to drift rather than walk. "Welcome, Travelers of Time," the figure intoned, its voice a harmonious blend of many. "You stand at the crossroads of destiny." Elara stepped forward, determination in her eyes. "We seek to restore balance. The City of Epochs is at the heart of it all, isn't it?" The figure nodded slowly. "Indeed. But to save the future, you must first understand the past. Be prepared, for what lies ahead will challenge everything you know and believe."

It feels as if I am reminded that this is another thing that I need to overcome. I lead the way in. The way to the past. The way inside, where the bittersweet memories are screaming at me. The house is dark, so I press on the socket on the walls, and gladly, we have about two lanterns that are working. Everything is still in place, covered in dust and sheets, frozen in time. I walk in slowly, my feet dragging as if the memories of this place are pulling me down. Joe follows silently, his eyes scanning the room, but I can feel that he is watching me more than anything else.

He sits in his parked car absently tapping his fingers to the beat of the song playing from his radio. He begins to imagine what would happen once he steps into the house standing before him. A feel of electric current washes through his system and he comes out of his trans, giving a mischievous smile. After turning off his cars engine, he proceeds to the entrance of the house like a star walking towards a stage for an award.

He has withdrawn himself from me into his shell, like a vulnerable five year old who was rejected candies by his mom. He looks cute this way. I suck in my breath, having no clue on what is wrong with my brain. He had apologised to me right? He did apologise, and the way he is avoiding my eyes makes my chest bubble with stupid emotions. I have ruin the moment because my mind kept traveling to the past. But I want him. I want him more than anything, I was ready for the romance, the sex. God! Whatever he has to offer, I am ready to accept.
