Taken by my stepfathers

Taken by my stepfathers

I was wondering if they were ready for me to stop being the student and start being the one who dictated the lessons. The car pulled up to the heavy iron gates, and I looked at the mansion not as a prison but as a throne room. I stepped out, my heels clicking on the pavement with a new, lethal precision. The timeout was over. It was time to go back inside and show them exactly how much I had grown.

Chasing His Ex-wife Back

Chasing His Ex-wife Back

Not just the estate, but the history, the legacy, everything I had once run from. The wind stirred, rustling the dying leaves, carrying with it the ghosts of my past. I let out a slow, Steadying breath and stepped forward. The gate grOaned as I pushed it open. the sound echoing through the stillness. Each Step acrOss the threshold felt heavier, as if I were Walking through time itself, SteppIng into a past I thought I had buried. But some things refuse to stay buried.

Between Breathe And Goodbye

Between Breathe And Goodbye

she whispered. “Then pass it,” the figure said. Eliana’s breath came faster, her thoughts colliding as she tried to understand what she was being asked to do. Change the past. Change the outcome. Do something different. Her gaze locked onto her past self. Then— She moved. Not backward. Not away. Forward. Straight into the scene. The moment she stepped in, everything sharpened. The sounds grew louder, the air colder, the reality of it hitting her all at once.

Bankrupting the Alpha: Crowned by the Dragon King

Bankrupting the Alpha: Crowned by the Dragon King

It pulsed once. Like a heartbeat. Waiting. I didn’t hesitate. I stepped forward. The moment my foot touched it, the world changed—not violently, not abruptly, but with quiet certainty. The castle did not disappear. It reshaped itself around me. Corridors stretched and twisted, forming a path I had never seen before, guiding me forward until I reached a door. It opened before I could touch it. I stepped inside. And found my past waiting for me. The room was vast, its walls lined with moments suspended in time—not memories, not illusions, but something deeper. Each one carried weight. Presence. Truth.

She Tempted The Devil

She Tempted The Devil

In a moment of profound introspection, he made the conscious decision to retrace the steps that had led to the cataclysmic events, not with the intent to alter the course of fate, but to seek understanding and closure. With a solemn resolve, Asmo closed his eyes, allowing the mists of time to envelop him. In the blink of an eye, he was transported to the genesis of the turmoil, standing at the threshold of the past. The air crackled with an intangible energy as he found himself poised at the beginning of it all, ready to bear witness to the chronicles of tragedy and upheaval.

Esmerelda Sleuth: The Other Side of the Mirror (Book 1)

Esmerelda Sleuth: The Other Side of the Mirror (Book 1)

I saw no reason to add to that stress by demanding that he give me lessons in something that I’d only just accepted as real. Satisfied that Nora was ready, stable, and prepared for my return, he moved next to me. Placing his arms around me and holding me close, he turned us so that we faced the mirror. “On the other side of this mirror is time in its real form. Through this portal, we can go anywhere in history; future or past.” I sucked in air with nervous anticipation as he said in a deep and authoritative voice, “Servus, take us to November third in the year eighteen-hundred and thirty-nine.”

My Possessive CEO (Can love conquer pain?)

My Possessive CEO (Can love conquer pain?)

Terrified. Alone. “No more running,” I say quietly. The shadows shift again. Faster. More aggressive. Reacting. Threatened. “You think this changes anything?” the voice snaps. “Yes.” “No.” “Yes.” I step forward. Directly toward her. The shadows lash out instantly— but they don’t touch me. They hesitate. Because this time— I’m not reacting. I’m choosing. “You can’t rewrite the past,” the voice hisses. “I’m not rewriting it.”

Repeated Past!

Repeated Past!

I think I'm starting to fall in love with you. Without Kenzo and Khanza noticing, someone was watching from behind the wall beside the open door. He — Keanu, was observing Kenzo and Khanza while clenching his fists. His jaw tightened and the next second, Keanu closed his eyes. Beside him, Ven's transparent figure looked just as frustrated. Keanu had heard everything from Ven. All the things that happened to Khanza and their connection with what happened two hundred years ago. “Keanu, I really can't see big sister Khanza and big brother Kenzo like this. I won't be able to see history repeating itself. Because I remember all my life in the past. This is too much, Keanu. Can't they be happy?"

To Be Yours Again

To Be Yours Again

Jenny asked. Stephanie shook her head. She didn't feel like that at all. "I don't. I'm just worried that she'll fail." She knew how stubborn Paul was. "Well, that means you're truly over Paul," Jenny concluded. Although Stephanie had said so before, Jenny hadn't confirmed it personally. Now, she had no doubt at all. Stephanie shrugged. "I already told you before. You didn't believe me." "Well, why don't you try getting together with Leonard? You have to give yourself a fresh start." Forget what happened before. If Stephanie did not take the first step, she would forever be trapped in the past. Jenny didn't want to see that happen.

Jessica Bui
Read through the 30 available chapters. It's pretty interesting so far. Strong FL, although I wish she was a bit more cool-headed and calm when she's dealing with the ex-husband, especially since he has no idea their previous relationship.

Think I'm beginning to like this book. Firstly it's completed with perfectly written grammars also for plots involving medical scientific descriptions, thankfully detailed to enhance our knowledge as in medical terms accordingly hence something to recognise.Applause for the Author's efforts.11/05/24
