If you want me to suggest you a couple of good books I don't mind, but you have to love reading so you can enjoy it," Mila spoke. The girl sighed and looked down for a few moments then looked back up at Mila. "You think so?" she asked quietly and Mila nodded with a smile on her face. "Okay, but my mum wants me to give reading a try so...can you recommend me some easy books? Something that won't bore me," the girl requested and Mila nodded.

Am I the only one that thinks reading a novel is like watching a movie but in your head? I love how writers describe things and make them so realistic. I sat on the couch with my my back resting again on the backrest of it, my knees made a right angle, feet flat on the floor, and legs uncrossed. I held the book with my right hand and the left is a black coffee I asked Margarita; the maid to make for me earlier, coffee goes with everything, books especially. The book wasn’t too close to my face neither it was too far, just leveled to avoid any headache. I always have headache when I zoom my eyes in full concentration. Read like you're listening to someone talk to you.” “That sounds easy.” “It’s not. But it’s how people who read a lot remember things. Here—” I flip a page. “Skim the first two paragraphs, then tell me what it’s about in two lines.” She hesitates, then bends over the page. Her lips move silently as she scans. Her brows pinch together, then smooth. A few seconds later, she looks up.

"More slowly this time." She goes back to her room. The second book, in its first reader's hands. The co-author, reading it for the second time. The practice, continuing into the next form it will take.

I frowned as I drew closer, curious. “What are these?” I asked, lowering myself onto the floor beside the table. “This is step one,” he said simply, dropping into the armchair across from me. “If you’re serious about learning human language, we will start from the foundation. Children’s books.” I stared at the stack of books, bright covers with smiling cartoon animals stared back at me. It almost felt insulting to me, an adult, expected to sit like a child and sound out human words. It's fine I'm used to enduring humiliation at the hands of my pack.

I followed what he said and entered the silent aisles and my pointer finger ran along the shelves while squinting my eyes to find a good book. Book after book, one caught my eye and I tip-toed to reach for it, immediately opening the pages once taking it in my hands. I leaned my body to the shelf in front of me and read the prologue of the story. Turning the pages more, I wasn’t aware that I was standing for quite a long time already to notice that I was almost half of the story and Brye walked closer to me.

"Lilih, your reading speed is so fast..." Jack whispered in shock as he took a bite of his apple, Liana finished reading two thirds of a book in half an hour. " Actually, I'm just reading to familiarize myself with current technology, not reading in detail, you know? " Since Liana already had a good base, she could figure out which parts of the text she needed to concentrate on after just a quick scan, this way she didn't have to waste time reading things she already knew, and as soon as she finished reading, she already picked up another and continued her reading.
