I open it. "Stephanie. Oh my God. You're back!" I look at Stephanie Burnham. She is a beautiful woman. She has gotten taller, and her hair is long. She has long black straight hair. She always looked like a Halloween brat. I loved that about her. It was always weird to me that a prep like Brittany and a punk-like Steph were ever friends. I'm not sure how they came to be friends. But I know it has something to do with me.

I said with a smile. “She is a doctor. In fact, she is scary and we need to play cupid for them because Brand had messed up with her in their past. But I think she is the one who made him restless and first one to ever reject him.” Stephen said. I blinked my eyes. This man was one of the most introvert kind and he was talking about playing a match maker for his friend. “You never fail to surprise me, Stephen. Don’t worry. Count me in your plan if she isn’t going to kick your friend.” I said and bade him bye before starting my day which was kind of boring since I didn’t have much to do.

Leo said, stretching his hands to shake Stephen's hand, which Stephen accepted politely with a smile. "I was just doing my job; it wasn't a problem." Stephen said as he turned to greet Austin and Shane, "How are you, Austin?" It's great to meet another of Athena's friends," Stephan said. "Fine sir, it's nice to meet you as well," Austin replied, smiling.

“What are you doing here? This is a private vacation with my daughter.” Elena’s gaze slid over to Mia, appraising her slowly from head to toe. “And who is this lovely young thing? She looks far too beautiful to be just a ‘family friend.’” Mia lifted her chin, refusing to be intimidated. “Mia Thompson. Lily’s best friend.” “Best friend,” Elena repeated, amusement flickering in her eyes. “How sweet. You must be very… close to the family.” The way she said it made Mia’s skin crawl.

Something about some Russian mafias and human traffickers or something like that, I'm not interested in that. Me and papa talked for a while before hanging up, not before promising to be back home by 11pm. He said 8pm but I'm good at bargaining! It's just pass 6pm, how does he expects me to leave in two hours time. Then he turned to his fellow vampires and began addressing them. “Today is the day, i hope you guys are ready." He started. "I can not assure you that it’ll be a hundred percent success” Stephen concluded. Flynn, Stephen's only friend, said, “We’re ready buddy, I mean, master” Flynn smiled.

This is my son, Chad Steele," he introduced. Choking on her drink, Olivia's eyes widened and Chad smirked at her, "Hello, stepsister," he said cockily.

Stephen would surely lead Riveria to new heights, and the Quinns would become Metropolis’s most powerful and influential family. Building a good relationship with Stephen would only bring benefits. When Simon heard that Stephen’s friends were calling for him, he went home alone. Stephen met with his friends from the various families of Metropolis and smiled. “Why are you all here?” The group surrounded him, showering him with praise. “Steph, you’re amazing. I didn’t know how incredible you are.”

I don’t want him to judge me for being so hopelessly and stupidly into an older man and not just any older man, but my dad’s best friend. I usually wouldn’t care, but Brandon is special. Brandon doesn’t judge or make me feel like I’m in a sort of competition at work. He’s my only ally at work. He likes my weirdness, and people like him are keepers. I don’t want him to run for the hills. “Whoever this guy is, he’s a total jerk for putting you through this.” “Yeah, he’s a heartless jerk,” I mutter. “Heartless? I’d say he’s a clueless, self-absorbed jerk,” Brandon adds, emphasizing the last word with a mocking flourish that almost gets me laughing.

I smile placing my phone in my back pocket it this time, I’ll have to be careful where I leave my phone from now on. “It’s sounds nice, I wish I could join you but I’ve got to work” he says before turning back to continue with dinner, I think it’s best for everyone that Austin can’t join us for coffee. “I hope you’re not replacing me with this Jacob guy” he jokes looking back at me for a split second, this does make me laugh where I walk over to him placing my hands on his shoulders. “I can assure you, you’re my only gang related friend” I laugh looking at his face, he rolls his eyes but does let out a laugh.
