“I went to your campus today after you didn’t come home last night. A look at the security footage outside showed you leaving with Lucius, and since I knew exactly where he lives, I rushed to find you.” I accepted the explanation. It made sense. “How did you find out about Lucius? I’m sure it’s not common knowledge that vampires exist, or the world would be in disarray.” Caleb chuckled. “You’re right. I only know about their existence because I used to work for the National Registry of Anomalous Beings.” I blinked. “The what?” Blue eyes twinkled. “It’s a secret organization under the government. I worked there as a researcher till I branched out and started Lumen.”

He watched his little brother’s eyes widen a bit at the words “ his loved one,” and he knew he remembered the last time he had used such a name. There was only one person in the whole world who had ever seen him go the way of the vampires of old and become the demon that the humans fear. He had been young around a hundred and fifty, just turned. He had still had his feelings, and he had met a beautiful woman whom he had fallen for hard and quick. Her beauty and her kindness were more than he had ever seen in any other human. An evil man had decided he would burn her at the stake for refusing to sleep with him. That evil man, who had hidden behind the Bible, had raped, tortured, and then burn

It was the way the Omega was smiling and blushing as he looked up at the scary Alpha. Sebastian found himself slowly wandering the room, looking at all the things that belonged to the Alpha: the paintings on the walls, the knickknacks on shelves, and the colorful hand-blown glass on the bookcase. His fingers ran along the books, and he noticed the entire collection was from the same author, Stephen King. They were all hardcover and looked to be in perfect condition. He wondered what kind of story those books told. Were they romantic or funny? It's been so long since he read a book. He slightly pulled back a book titled Needful Things before sighing and pushing it back into place.

Her father, the king, made attempt to lay her to rest in secret but after sunrise the next day when little her had ventured to her mother's grave to send her flowers, her mother had dug her wat out if the grace, now one if the hideous creatures, a blood suckers. "Look!" Her eyes snapped open and fixated itself on the grave. "It's moving, it's moving!"

[Valerie] ** Three Months Ago ** I had all the tools I needed to execute the revenge I was hoping to wreak on the one who had robbed me of so much in my life. It plagued me for days on end - if it was the right thing to do. I sat at my desk in the library, paging through Stephen King’s “Doctor Sleep” but the words printed on the pages seemed to fuze and look like black lines and blotches across the pages. I had lost interest the moment I opened the first page, so how I was already on page fifty three was a mystery to me, because I couldn’t recall any of the words I had read.

I choose a Stephen King paperback – Salem’s Lot - from the lower shelves and struggle to decipher the pages, my curvy body sinking into the cushy couch. I’ve always been more size 12 than two, and look like those dumb pictures of Eve – soft sloping stomach like van Eyck’s Ghent altarpiece, pert breasts, and curving hips for days. The words of my chosen book all turn up like mush. The leather smells like the cigars Samael smokes, the spice of his orange and musk cologne, and rain. It smells like him. I close my eyes, inhaling the scent. Memories of him from my childhood haunt me, the man cloaked in shadow, the owner of my soul.

My mind tried to comprehend how one could move that fast as I strained to hear their words. My ear perking up as the newly made sneered, laughing sardonically, "The King of Vampires graces a low life with his presence". The King of Vampires, I thought, my eyes going round as saucers and the newly made continued, "To what do I owe the pleasure, Jacob?" And the floodgate of memories unleashed itself on my mind.

he explained, leaning back as Tyler brought our meals out. “Thank you.” I nodded to our waiter but kept my eyes on Darius. “Still, that’s incredible. And maybe I like the dark horror stuff? I enjoy horror movies, tv shows, books, graphic novels, and manga. I have a number of Stephen King books on my bookshelf at home. You probably didn’t notice when you were in my room this morning. And I adore Tokyo Ghoul. It’s my favorite manga series. And I own and have watched all fifteen seasons of Supernatural. And not just because Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki are handsome.” I countered, pointing my fork at him before digging into my meal.

"And what's your favorite?" "Oh that's too hard to choose sir. I mean of course I love classics like The Great Gatsby, 1984, and One Flew of the Cuckoo's Nest. I'm crazy about the James Bond books. But I have to say Misery is my favorite book. Stephen King is a genius." "So all that's told me is you read in high school and that's it. Aren't those all required reading?" "Daddy." I whispered. He took a long gulp from his glass. Sophia closed her eyes as though she was embarrassed.

A prophecy that foretold the gruesome conspiracy to end the life of the greatest king of the earth. All I want from you is a little aid, a little enlightenment, a little fortitude, and caliber to complete my work. Hope you will provide me countenance and tutelage to undertake the long tedious journey of the past. Yours Sincerely Saheli
