~ Rose POV ~ When I opened my eyes that evening, something felt wrong. Not frightening, not supernatural… just different. For the first time in what felt like forever, my mind was quiet, I didn’t feel like I was sharing it with other faces. No Blaire’s sharp voice. No pressure behind my eyes. Just silence. Just me...Rose David! I didn’t know whether to feel relieved or terrified. I pushed myself off the bed, half-expecting a voice to snap inside my skull.

That night, Marcus jumped from the old Leedon Tower. The next morning, the headlines were filled with news of his suicide. Cecilia didn’t dare look at the gruesome photos. Lucas handled Marcus’s funeral arrangements. Across the entire city, every headline reported Marcus’s death. But there was one reason no one else knew. When Marcus died, he was still holding a vivid red rose in his hand. And Cecilia suddenly remembered something from when she was fifteen. “Marcus, what kind of flower do you think I’m like?” The girl leaned close, and the boy looked up at her, the corners of his eyes curving slightly.

Giant, deep red, glowing roses. I thrashed, trying to pull myself up, but the damn things had a grip like iron. Every time I moved an inch, they sprawled higher, coiling tighter, dragging me deeper into their grasp. Their petals looked soft, almost beautiful—until I saw the teeth hidden beneath them, snapping dangerously close to my skin. "That woman said the fae world isn't a joke!" I growled, struggling harder. "But she failed to mention the motherfucking sea of carnivorous roses!"

I saw shapes moving in the distance. Others were coming. Their steps were heavy like the earth itself. “R-Run…” It was the voice. That soft, cracked voice. This time—I looked down. And there he was. Rose. Bleeding. A spear stood proud in her chest like it had conquered her. Her blood ran onto me, warm as life, red as war. Even now… even dying, she told me to flee. “R-Rose… get up…” I tried to lift her hand.

Since it was about Rose, it meant it was going to have to do with Lucifer, the most unsettling alter. "Um, she really liked the color red." Rion recalled the figure of Rose in his mind. "All her belongings are red. I don't know why she was so crazy about red. Sometimes my eyes would glaze over them, they're so bright." A smile cursed up on Rion's face. It was very beautiful, yet painful at the same time. "You know what? I used to make fun of her having these dresses. It's because all her dresses are red. It's like she never changed her clothes." Ron chuckled.

I said but as I looked down at the bouquet, my throat closed up when I noticed that it was red roses. My mind immediately flashed to the red roses that my stalker sent to my house the other day and I broke out in cold sweat. “You like red roses right?” Rosa asked, her voice coming to me from somewhere that seemed far away instead of next to me. I clenched my teeth together and forced myself to nod. “Yes, of course,” I answered curtly. The tension etched on Rosa's face visibly relaxed. “Thank God,” she breathed. “I had initially ordered some sunflowers but they got sold out before I could finalize my payment this morning.”

"It’s the red rose again," I whispered, staring at the single blood-red rose lying in the middle of the shattered glass. My pulse pounded in my ears, a chill creeping up my spine. "Adrian… why do we keep seeing red roses these days? Do you think… someone’s trying to send us a message?" Adrian stepped closer, his gaze hardening as he studied the rose. "A message?" I nodded slowly, unable to tear my eyes away from the ominous flower. "Yes. And whoever it is… they’re willing to go to extreme lengths. We need to be careful."

*Boom* Red Rose summoned all the strength within her body into her legs and pushed off the ground, exploding towards Village Head Samoa with so much power that the eyes of the undead which were not meant to show any emotion, narrowed in stern surprise; yet there was an even creepier reaction that took Red Rose’s focus away from Village Head Samoa’s eyes. For a maniacal smile that should have been impossible of an Undead, graced the lips pf the former general, and his bloodthirsty aura grew stronger. *BOOM*
