She wanted to give him a chance at redemption. Beverly's heart sank as Rogers remained steadfast in his loyalty to King Rico. She had hoped that her words would reach him, ignite a spark of doubt in his mind, and steer him away from the destructive path he had chosen. But his resolve seemed unyielding, his allegiance unshakable. "You're blinded, Rogers," Beverly pleaded, her voice filled with a mix of frustration and sorrow. "King Rico has manipulated you, twisted your perception of what is right. He's using you to further his dark agenda."

I giggle, unable to stop myself. She is so cute! "Atlas Myles Rozell? Is he a werewolf, too?" My dad's eyes widen as he asks me. I laugh at his reaction, nodding my head and saying, "Yes! Atlas Myles Rozell is a young businessman, holding the position of a shareholder in your company. I was also surprised to meet him. I mentioned you to him and he agreed on your company's profit share. You give him a very handful amount, dad!" I grin at him.

I ask playfully. He shoots me a sideways glance. “Guess you’ll have to wait and see, princess.” A smirk tugs at his lips. I’m starting to learn that there are a few different versions of Brock. There’s this one- my personal favorite. The one that’s sarcastic and snarky. The one who likes to play and laugh. Then there’s the broody guy that shuts down. The intense one. The one who is so crippled by his past that he can’t move into the future. And then there’s the one that’s completely devoid of emotion, like a goddamn robot. All business all the time. That last one scares me a little. He’s hard and ruthless- I feel like he could watch the life drain from someone’s eyes without flinching.

Finally, in frustration, Gwen raised her hands for quiet. "Let me say a few things that should answer a lot of these questions," began Gwen. "Most importantly, Steve is doing fine, pending anything that the x-rays reveal. He has some nasty lacerations on his chest and abdomen, but Dr. Masters feels that she can dress his injuries temporarily so that he will be able to play in the big game. Steve and I have to thank Billy Marsh for his timely assistance at the river. I don't want to even think what the outcome would have been without his help. He's our hero.

He shrugs, "Looks like someone doesn't want this union to happen more than you." I mind link Steve and get no reply, "Steve's not answering me, you think he's out of the territory?" Chris shrugs, "knowing Steve, if he has a guys scent, he won't let up till he catches him, so it's possible, I swear the guy is more bloodhound than wolf." I chuckle, "true, let's get back, clean up and see if anything else is destroyed, or just my future." After I shower and put on clean sweatpants, I return to my office to find my Beta sitting there, I sit and the packhouse landline phone rings, I pick it up, "Crescent Moon, Alpha Braddock speaking."

“Get your things ready, you are going back to the states.” “Uh? Back to the states? But dad I just got back home and I already finished my program at school…” Eleanor protested. “There is no change of plans. The decision has been made.” Uncle Bob said, and chewed slowly without sparing her a glance. “Uncle Bob…I missed home…Can’t I just stay a bit more?” she turned towards Howard and mouthed to him, “Plead with me…”
