Archie whispered in my ear. “Shut up!” I rolled my eyes. Crystal chandeliers and golden strings adorned the banquet hall, making it spacious and impressive. People were busy impressing each other as the hall echoed murmuring. An old man approached us and extended his hand, calling out, “Mr. Garcia. Glad to have you here.” “Feeling the same, Mr. Arthur. Nice arrangements.” Archie nodded in appreciation. “Who’s this beautiful lady?” Arthur asked with a huge smile. Archie said, “This is my girlfriend, Camille Davidson. Camille is Mr. Rocky Arthur. He is the owner of Arthur Production Company and also the father of Conan.”

I am about hit him when I am interrupted. "Elenor Miner! This is your last warning. I don't care if you are the future Luna of our pack or if you were the Moon Goddess herself. If you are in my classroom you will pay attention. You will be in my room for detention if it happens again." Mr. Arthur was known for being one of the coolest teachers ever until a few years ago. His mate died and he became lost without her. He's turned into a recluse and is rarely seen outside of school. There are rumors that he sometimes walks the borders or goes into the human town and drinks at their bars.

While I was going on and on about how much Noah Cunningham inspired me, Arthur’s expression remained calm, but I could feel his body stiffening. “As much as I would love to hear you go on and on about this…artist,” Arthur said the word like it was a bad thing and maybe he hadn’t meant to say artist at all. “But I would very much like to continue where we left off a few nights ago.” I leaned away from him and was downright surprised to see a deep red vortex swirling over his head. Arthur keeps a calm face and shrugs. He doesn’t like it when I keep asking him questions in any of our discussion. He just wants a straight answer. “She’s quite the beauty of course. I do find her to be attractive, and my wolf gets stirred up whenever he sees her.”

Fake concern maybe. “I am Arthur Murray. The curse mean nothing to me.” He said stubbornly. “Arthur…” I called his name. My tone was soft and warm. He looked down to meet my gaze. “Whatever it is your decision is, just know I am here with you and by your side okay?”

I cheered as Jolly jesters started to dance in a funeral. I walked up to Arthur who gave me my wailing son, wailing in hunger before he kissed me. “That was so sexy you being so maleficent.” I turned my back to Arthur. “Let’s play after Tristan goes to sleep okay.” I said before I walked away with all eyes on me.
