I opened my eyes and to my surprise, Steve was pointing his gun at Ruby. "Drop it" he said to her. "What the hell?" She said to him. "This is not what we planned" he said to her. "Back off dude" she said facing back to me but Steve didn't do as she said. "One thing I hate in an agreement is greed. Take your man and I'll take my woman" he said. "Are you playing with me?" She said facing him completely. They were busy exchanging words, Jones made his way towards me and began untying me.

As I walk around the great room, it's obvious that certain packs in particular are missing- the Rogue packs. Instead of having different alphas for every pack, they are all run by a king who calls himself "King of the Rogues." I can't help but roll my eyes, anybody who chooses to go by that name probably has a bigger ego than Caleb. Nobody knows what he looks like since few have ever lived after encountering him, his reputation violent and messy. He never shows up to these events despite receiving the invitations. Most alphas would prefer him as a business partner rather than an enemy.

Ryan pleaded with a wide smiles and shook hand with the doctor who was still surprise. He pushed to stand, but they were on him like lightning, holding him flat, talons gouging his limbs, crimson soaking into the earth. Steve’s expression contorted in agony, eyes flaring with fury, thrashing to break loose, but the rogues weighed him down, their mass crushing. My ticker skipped, terror freezing me solid, echoes of Liam’s power, his form wrapping mine in the sheets, worthless here as I stood rooted, witnessing Steve’s fight. In a swift, unified rush, the rogues piled on, talons ready, jaws snapping, their teeth a breath from shredding skin. Steve bucked, but the numbers overwhelmed, blows raining down, teetering him on the brink of the void.

“That can’t be true. Gabby? Simon’s mate?” “I don’t believe it either,” Steve said, shaking his head. “But the way he said it… I don’t know, maybe he believed it. Or maybe he’s lying just to mess with me.” Stooper’s face was pale. He walked around the room, thinking hard. “If it’s true, Steve, then that changes everything. A wolf never forgets their true mate.” Steve clenched his jaw. “I don’t care. Gabby is mine now and I will protect her, even if it means fighting a hundred rogues.”

So close that Steve could feel his minted cigarette breath, mixed with his cologne on his face. “Am I?” Steve felt heat climb up his neck. But he didn’t back away. “What if I do?” he said, almost a whisper. “What if I did like you?” Miguel didn’t blink. “Then maybe, just maybe,” he said, voice almost kind, almost cruel, “you’d stop trying to impress me by breaking someone already bent.”

Noel said. Steve turned on the volume of the video to watch he liked watching action movies. "I see you like action movies," Noel asked. "Very much I would like one day to be a writer and be able to write an action story," Steve said. Rose thoughts of the incident where her mother seemed to kiss Reuben she recalled it again and realized that Reuben and Rachel were kissing one another but for her it was unbelievable she tried to think but she didn't believe what he saw but the memory disturbed her.

As he screams out, I drive the dagger into his chest and he falls to the ground. In general, rogues are weaker than wolves that belong to a pack. They don't have the strength that comes from the unity of being in a pack. Wolves are social creatures, and their wolves weaken significantly without that bond to an Alpha. Many rogues are on their own for years before they join other rogues, so they weaken a great deal. However, just because these rogues are weaker, they have the upper hand right now. With just four more to go, I can feel my body becoming sluggish. All my energy sources have been depleted in the last five weeks and I'm just running on pure adrenaline at this point.
