Jasper sat upright next to Steven, looking unperturbed. Yet deep within, he held immense admiration for the man beside him. Born into nobility, Jasper was naturally aloof, and Steven's humility and poise were qualities Jasper rarely encountered, even among the elite circles. Only a select few had ever earned his respect. If he managed to navigate this ordeal and return safely to the Beckett Group, he already resolved to approach Steven personally. He would offer Steven the position of the company's legal advisor, with remuneration entirely at Steven's discretion—a gesture of Jasper's utmost sincerity.

“I’m so disappointed.” I rolled my eyes at his theatrics, folding my arms across my chest. He didn’t seem like a thief at all. The way he carried himself, the way he spoke, it was clear he belonged here somehow. Still, I wanted to hear it from him directly. “Leandro never mentioned anyone. So who are you, really?” I pressed, raising a brow. His lips curved into a grin as he extended a hand toward me. “I’m Steven. Leandro’s best friend.”

Steven- have you been checking me out kid ? Lori- oh please your not my type beta!.. anyway how many bags are you taking with ? Steven- just two .. I mean it's only two weeks . Lori- two? I watched him walk toward us with a black canvas hand bag slung over his left shoulder and a suitcase in his other hand. Physically, Steven was a genetic aberration: he stood one meter ninety-two of pure lean muscle, with shoulders so broad they made the terminal hallway look narrow. His dark blonde hair was cut close on the sides, leaving a textured upper section, and his eyes, a deep bottle green, shone with a lucidity that bordered on arrogance. He had a square jaw, marked by a perfectly trimmed three-day beard, and sharp, gray eyes that contrasted with his dark hair, which was messily tossed in a careless way. Stephanie comes into the office. "Please, Steven, let me tell Lila." Stephanie sits on the other chair and fidgets with the necklace on her collarbone. Steven nodded in return and took her other hand in his, squeezing it in a way to offer reassurance to his mate.

The girl waved. " Hello." Lilith said. " Am Charlotte." Charlotte said. " Lilith, nice meeting you." Lilith said. " Same here, can I sit with you?" Charlotte said " Of course." Lily answered. " Hmm hmm, do you kinda know that boy?" Charlotte said pointing to a direction Lilith looked at the direction and her eyes caught up with Steven whom was staring at her. " Why is he staring." Lilith mumbled. "That's Steven, one of the XESS. He is the most gentle, nicest and the coolest among his friends. I have noticed he had been staring at you." Charlotte said.

"There's so much to see and do in this city, and it's always better to have someone to share it with." Steven is a tall, athletic-looking guy with short, dark hair and bright blue eyes that seemed to sparkle in the sunlight. He had a strong jawline and a friendly smile that instantly put Larisa at ease.

’ But he ignored it and led me to their side on the counter. Steven, a tall blonde in just a white singlet and shorts, pushed his glasses to his face. According to Matthew, this dude was a neurosurgeon. Didn't look like one with all the tattoos on his exposed arms. He ordered another beer, and I told the bartender to put it on my tab. “So…Lachlan, how's your love life going?” Mike, dark-skinned and of average height, was in the military. He had short curly hair and nursed a glass of tequila shot in his hand.

Steven reassured me, saying, "Take a deep breath. I'll investigate Lucy Lansworth's identity, her possible connections to Cindy or Max, and find out where she is currently. You've paid us, so let us handle the investigation while you focus on keeping yourself safe." I felt grateful for Steven's understanding and reassurance. "By the way, Max has a finance background, so why did he start a construction materials company? It seems unrelated to his field. Is there any particular reason?" Steven asked.

He suggests and I snort at the idea. “You know Landon Chambers would be the opposing lawyer, right?” I say and hear Ben breathe in defeat. “We are stuck, how will we ever get out of this, Vicky?” he asked me in a sad tone. I didn’t really like the nickname he used for me but he seemed to love it so I didn’t protest. As I looked around the garden and my eyes widened like saucers when I saw Steve with an amused look on his face and Aaron with a displeased look on his face, standing at distance from me.
