Taming The Reaper's Heir

Taming The Reaper's Heir

Is she ashamed of me? I had thought all of this stigma was the reason I stayed away from the academy for a whole year. It appeared nothing was going to change anytime soon. “These rumors are causing more harm than good, Aunt Gacia. Can't my condition be hidden without making people hate me?” She drew her lips into a thin line, adjusting her glasses along the bridge of her nose. “It's a small price to pay, Nyx. Do you have any idea how you'll be treated once they find out you can’t transform at nineteen?”

Alex snaps his mouth shut, and even though it's difficult, I do my best to suppress the smile that is desperately trying to spread across my face as she continues to berate him. "That's called sexual harassment, buddy." Her hands fly to her hips as she continues to glare. "Do you know that I could call the police and have you ticketed? Or even arrested!" Okay, I'm not sure if that's true but I'm going to roll with it. As if finally realizing this teeny-tiny chick is about to go batshit crazy all over his dumb ass, Alex's wide brown eyes shift helplessly to mine as Stacy pokes a slender finger at his massive wall-like chest.

THE BILLIONAIRE'S UPSTART WIFE REVENGE

THE BILLIONAIRE'S UPSTART WIFE REVENGE

Her room is a one room apartment with a tiny kitchen and bathroom that look like everything would fall apart any minute. She couldn't even sell her clothes because no one wanted to talk to the deranged woman who had been on the t.v barely three weeks ago, the stigma was suffocating, no one bothered to ask her what was true or false, you would be whatever people call you, you are god if they call you one and you are shit if they say that's you. She didn't mind the hunger and loneliness, nor the way she had to deal with multiple nightmares but she really minded the bad shape her kid may end up in, she only got her staying with her because of her luck.

"Panashe used to bathe me as a child. We did everything together. We had conversations, we even took my dog for walks. I remember how she made the best Mac and cheese, when we moved away it was all I missed... my mother was awful in the kitchen." "You did all that with the negro?" Chester gasped. "You did not catch a sickness then?" "What sickness?" Liam asked. "The negro sickness obviously." "Uhm, never heard of it." It seemed there was a social stigma that had been created to discriminate against people of a darker skin. The little myths of negro sickness or this and that. It was simply a way to keep whites away from blacks. It made them rather afraid and ob

This book is intriguing. Well written. Really an eye opener for those that need to learn more about what the ancestors went through during slavery that wasn’t in the U.S. I felt for Paneshe. She was such a strong Black young lady.

hi author I really appreciate you writing such a wonderful story. I will be happy if you will write a story about the white lady who had an affair with one of the slaves in another plantation and they had a child. William mentioned it in one of the letters he wrote to Panashe

Billionaire's Bet - My Brother's Teacher

Billionaire's Bet - My Brother's Teacher

"Yes. Earlier today, I thought I'd never be able to disclose my past to anyone but the thought of losing scared me." "For years, I thought the only reason I had to keep what happened to me a secret was because I was threatened to but then I realized it was because I was scared. I was too scared of being stigmatized. Right from when I was born, I was the pride of my family. I didn't want everything to change overnight because of something that wasn't even my fault. Most importantly, I didn't want Cade to be judged by my mistake." He confessed, forcing Jessica to focus all her attention and empathy on him.

Silent Howls

Silent Howls

“Did you talk to him? Did he accept that he’s seeing that girl?” Stacy shook her head slowly, shame and hurt warring on her face. “No,” she whispered. “I couldn’t confront him. Not there. Not in front of all high-status Lycans like him.” Her lips quivered. “I’m just a rogue, Liora. A maid. They would have laughed at me. I would have become a joke.” For a brief moment, in the middle of Stacy’s shattered sobs, I felt a fragile flicker of hope inside me. It was faint but stubborn, like a candle refusing to die in the dark.

The woman blinked, first glaring at them, then offering the child a look of pure pity that Alana couldn't ignore. "You poor dear," she cooed. "Raised a bastard because of selfish parents." Stefan stiffened and pulled the stroller well back from the old woman. "I see that being inexcusably crass has nothing to do with age," he snapped. Alana looked between him and her child, fighting the welling of tears.

IN-BETWEEN THE LYCAN BROTHERS

IN-BETWEEN THE LYCAN BROTHERS

“They’ll talk, that’s for sure. They’ll judge, and they’ll spread rumors. But what they think doesn’t change how I feel about you.” I felt a pang of guilt at his words. He was right, of course. But the truth was, it wasn’t just the pack’s judgment that was eating away at me. It was the fact that we had let things get out of control, that we had given in to the heat of the moment without considering the consequences. “I don’t regret what happened,” I said quietly, my voice trembling with emotion. “But I do regret that we didn’t think it through. The stigma... it’s not just about us anymore. It’s about the pack, about what they’ll say, how they’ll treat us.”

Entangled with a Baby

Entangled with a Baby

“Don’t forget why you’re here, Stacey. You’re not a partner in this. You're a pawn. The sooner you accept that, the easier this will be.” Stacey’s face burned with humiliation, and she turned away, biting the inside of her cheek to keep from crying. She hated herself for letting him get to her. Hated her body for being what it was—too big, too soft, too...wrong. She could feel his eyes on her, studying her, judging her. “You should work on your confidence,” Liam said suddenly, his tone light but laced with harshness. “No man likes a woman who can’t even stand herself.”

This is an absolutely wonderful piece of art. the author did not only succeed in putting me on the edge of my seat as I read through the dramatic romance between Laura and King but she also made me feel reluctant to drop the book. Keep the good work author.

Damn, this story is a whole mess of emotions! ... Kingston really did a number on Laura, and now she’s stuck in this whirlwind of secrets and drama. I swear, if he messes up again, I’m throwing my phone! ...... Can’t wait to see how this all plays out!
