Chapter Three : Jay pov I told myself it didn't mean anything. The staring. The way my chest went tight when Cole Ashford looked at me. The fact that I replayed every word of that gym conversation while lying in bed at 2am, staring at my ceiling, my heart beating too fast. It didn't mean anything. I had a girlfriend. A good one. Maya was kind, beautiful, and somehow not turned off by my secondhand sweaters and calloused hands. She laughed at my stupid jokes. She remembered my coffee order. She deserved better than me obsessing over her older brother.

What's the fun in that? But for some reason, I felt a twinge of jealousy when I saw her with that new guy. What was his name? Mike? No, it was Michael. I had watched him closely as I tend to do with all of her boyfriends. She was my only sister, so I was naturally protective over her. But Michael seemed alright. He was tall and lean with a head full of light brown hair. He was nicely built as far as I could tell. I noticed a small scar on his chin. When he looked at me with curiosity, his light blue eyes looked expressive and intelligent.

I walk around the back to hang my coat up, where she joins me with her hands on her hips. "Who was that?" She asks with a raised eyebrow, I send her a confused look whilst tying my apron around my back. "The man that dropped you off, he wasn't Roman?" She asks still standing in the doorway, luckily I still had to tie my hair in a bun so she wasn't blocking my way. "That's Roman's best friend and our roommate Austin, you know him I've told him about you" I say now having to push passed her to sign myself in, once that was done I head out to the front to start working, like she should be doing.

Jay yelped, his tiny voice cracking and Tracey rolled her eyes at him. Thalia laughed softly. “Tracey, tell me.” “Mommy, Jay has a girlfriend!” Jay groaned dramatically, dragging his small palm down his face. “Really?” Thalia raised a brow as Tracey nodded vigorously. “Her name is Jewel. She’s that aunty’s daughter you know, the woman who insulted Daddy at the mall.” Thalia hummed as she tied Tracey’s ponytail and smoothed her baby hairs with gel. “Mommy, Jewel is my friend,” Jay said in his little serious tone. “She’s my girlfriend, not the girl I’m dating.”

But recently, she is doing nothing but cry. "I won't tell you that I have never had girlfriends" that was news. She thought that she was the first for him the same way he is. "There were two girls I have dated before. They were our brand models. I have just accepted to date them for namesake." Sid spoke when he saw the jealousy in her eyes. "Name?" She asked ignoring his explanation. "The first girl was Shreya and the second was shruthi," Sid replied.

Rielle breathed out as she possessively wrapped her arm around my waist I flinched a little by her action but relaxed after a bit when she soothingly rubbed her hand against my waist. Before I could say anything, the tall blonde girl from the other team approached us. "Hi!" She greeted us I wanted to laugh when I saw the red mark on her face but I chose not to. Rielle raised her right brow "What do you want?" "I just want to ask for your name? I really find you so beautiful." The blonde girl asked me, completely ignoring Rielle's presence Rielle was about to protest but I said "I'm Glaiza. Here is Rielle, my girlfriend." I proudly said as I wrapped my arm around Rielle's waist

he calls my name softly as I respond in a soft hum. "Would you be my girlfriend?" I feel the butterflies in my stomach awaken, fluttering uncontrollably in my stomach. I can't help but give him a big kool-aid smile. "Yes. I'd love to be your girlfriend." I reply, making his smile wider. "And he came with his girlfriend." "Girlfriend?" Nilton asks, getting closer, surprised. "Are you sure, Lôlô?" "Absolutely," Loreta affirms, proud. I can feel his heart beating fast against his chest as he sniffs my hair. “Why did you change your hair colour? You look better blonde”, he whispers in my ear. “Get away from me, you are crazy. I am not my mum. I’m Abbey, I’m Henry’s girlfriend. Harry look at me, I’m not her”, I say but he shakes his head and grabs me by my arms. He applies a lot of his strength and I know I will be bruised. “Why are you lying to me? Why? Why are you pretending to be someone else? I know you love me, I know you do”, he says as one tear spills down his eyes.
