The sound was loud and clear. The tattooed man pulled Stella's hair and slapped her, "Bitch! My boss was just talking to you. Why the hell did you do that? Apologize!" Stella did not hear what the other party said at all. Their strength was incomparable. Stella's head buzzed after the slap; half her face was painful and numb. As if she went deaf; she could not hear anything. Seeing that she did not speak, the tattooed man became even angrier. "Are you fucking deaf? I told you to apologize to my boss!"

I slash him. “...Arrgh.” He grunts, red bubbling across his chest. “You psycho." You’re not pushing me away. You love it. You enjoy pain, right? “P-Peach.” Arden clutches the sheets as I lick the trail on his chest. “Suck me already.” He tastes so badly good. My shit head boss. I slash his arm. Not severe, but deep enough to mark him. He’ll remember this night when he grovels at my feet, begging for mercy, where there’s none.

Then froze. Of course. Of fucking course. The universe hated me. Lukas stood inside alone. My boss looked infuriatingly perfect this morning, his dark suit fit him flawlessly, his silver watch gleamed beneath the overhead lights, his hair looked annoyingly neat. And those grey eyes, those awful, dangerous grey eyes, immediately found mine. A slow smile tugged at his mouth, it was just enough to tell me how much he was enjoying this. I wanted to scream. Instead, I stared straight ahead. If looks could kill, the man would already be dead.

I put my head back hoping he was alright. "Luna, this is going to be cold," Dr. Steininger said holding a bottle of ultrasound gel up. I nodded, I didn't care if froze me as long as I could see my pups. I watched the screen intently, I sighed when two little blobs came into view. The room was silent as Dr. Steininger moved the probe around.

Cause I have no other way. "Is he your boyfriend?" The second one asked and I immediately shook my head no. "No, he's my Boss. I'm his personal assistant." "Ohh!!!" Their tone felt a bit odd to me but I didn't say anything. They made him sit back behind me. And suddenly an idea popped up in my head. So I immediately took off my stole from my neck and held it to them. "Can you tie both of us with this? By this, I can be assured that he won't fall." I told them and both of them laugh but did what I asked them to do.

“Don’t boss me around! We’re both lawyers!” “That’s not what your contract says, does it? Be ready at eight. That’s final.” If he keeps barking orders at me, I swear I’ll throttle him. Or claw his face off. Then again, he might sue me. Better just curse at him—but in a way that won’t get me into legal trouble. I wanted to yell Go to hell! but I held it in. He probably already knows his final destination. No need to rub it in. “You orangutan!”

One of the tattooed man's associates had Lexi in a headlock, a gun pressed against her temple. "EVERYONE STOP OR THE GIRL DIES!”

I interrupted him and screamed “Yes. I mean I don’t even know who he is…” He interrupted me “You don’t know who the boss is?” “Yes; Why? Is he really mean or something?” I asked hopping for a positive answer. And his answer did make me feel better again. He said “Don’t worry newbie. The boss is really cool and handsome and kind and really understanding. Plus I am very sure the boss is going to be late too.” “How do you know he is going to be late?” I stopped panicking and asked a question out of curiosity.
