“It does,” he said gently, not forcing it, just letting the words settle. “In early pregnancy, bleeding can occur for several reasons. Sometimes it’s what we call a threatened miscarriage, where the body shows signs that resemble a loss, but the pregnancy cycle or growth continues.”
