he asked, his voice filled with a longing for more. Mama Hazel, her heart warmed by his enthusiasm, smiled. "Of course, Theo. What kind of story would you like to hear?" Theo, his eyes sparkling with mischief, grinned. "Tell me a story about a princess who can fly!" And so, Mama Hazel, her imagination ignited by Theo's request, spun a tale of a princess who could soar through the sky on the back of a giant, feathered bird. She described the princess's adventures, her encounters with talking animals, and her quest to save a kingdom from a wicked sorcerer.

I wanted to get to know the packmembers better and wanted them to know me. We were outside, and sitting on the grass while all the kids around the ages of three to six played around us. Now and then, the kids came asking something, like about my hair or asking if I was their Luna. A few girls even asked Lila how they could become a princess, and it made us laugh. Lila told them that they were all princesses, which made the girls squeal and dance. But then everything changed, alarms sounded, and the pack might drink opened forcefully in my head.

Together they would gallop around the house to the bend going out the main road. She remembered how her father would challenge her to race from time to time. But each time she would lose miserably.

We arranged her school bag while me listening to her as always school stories ...like how she fooled everyone in her class that she is magic queen. Blindly, I stretched to the night table to take up the noisy phone to turn off the alarm when my hands brushed against something, and it fell to the floor. Abruptly, I jolted out of bed to check what could have fallen. Perturbed, I scrutinized the objects. I found a card and a stuffed pony of Princess Celestia from “My Little Pony.” I used to watch the animation as a kid, and this character was my favorite. I even used to beg my Dad to get me a pony since I was his little princess. He was very happy when I outgrew that phase. Although I had many other phases after that.

I am stunned by what Dane says. The Legend of the chosen one is a story that every little is told during their fledging years so that they can feel special and important to the pack members. It is just a story and now, I have to listen to it so I can feel special. This is what I believe because why else would Dane try to remind me of the story.

If I was still a teenager I could see myself getting sucked into a story like this. To grow up as a nobody and find out that you are actually a princess that just has to step up and take the crown. That is something that almost every little girl dreams herself to be. Instead, I grew up just wanting to be seen and talked to again. I did get that, and a crown of sorts. I might not be a queen but I am the pack Luna and that is more than I could have ever asked for.
