Then I looked around some more and picked up Floca’s Moonshot: The Flight of Apollo 11, Lewis’s The Wolf, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, and Dahl’s Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and a few others. I paused at the Harry Potter series, but while the girls were old enough, being werewolves, for the story, I knew the sizes of the books would put them off. Next year, I thought. They’d have handled textbooks by then and wouldn’t be so rapidly opposed to books an inch thick or more.

The night was getting late, one by one the children returned to their respective homes. Some neighbors seem to have started to close the door. Emily approached me and said she was very tired and sleepy. I smiled and picked up. Some children are still playing outside. I left the bowl of candy outside. Let them take as they please. I took Emily inside and closed the door. Climb the stairs to take him to the room. Emily asked me to read her a bedtime story. I took the storybook from the drawer. I bought this book last week on an online site. The book, entitled Olive and The Wishing Star by Jennifer Decker, is indeed very good and suitable for children.

I can tell Uncle Leo we aren't ready yet. 'I'm sure. I don't think it will help us, but it won't hurt either.' She said. I picked up the book. It was an old, deep brown, leatherbound book with the title in gold leaf. 'Tales of Olde'. It was heavier than I expected. Uncle Leo hadn't told me the title of the story so I skimmed the contents page. None of the titles mentioned an unnamed wolf. I sighed.

She handed the bag of books. "What is this?" "Free books." "Huh?" "Uhmm, it has been like a month since you've came to the store so I've been wondering." She was avoiding Alkhun's Gazes. He opened the bag and it is full of fiction books. "Thanks." "Don't worry those are my books, collections of interesting myths in the West." "West..?" He remembered his mother on those 4 letters. He sighs and reaches for his bag to drink water.

Azalea follows and against me, my wife sighs happily. “I think if I have to read again about Corduroy losing his button, Swimmy and the school of red fish learning to overcome dangers together or Max being sent to bed without supper and traveling Where the Wild Things Are to become their king, I might be sick. “Here. I got you lots of storybooks. I know you love storybooks. I bought lots of them. Her previous frown was gone and replaced with awe. Her eyes fell on the back seat of the car and again, her eyes widened causing her to look so cute with her widened eyes and open mouth. The back seat of the car was loaded with storybooks just for her. No wonder aunt Ruby was still counting and saying the names of the books she bought. Doing all of these to impress one little child. He cajoled her and Chandni burst out laughing. "Do you want me to read a story?" She asked, cupping his cheeks. "Yes please!" He replied happily. "Now what do I have here?? The great adventures of Winnie the Pooh!" Chandni showed the tattered old book that she still kept, in the small bookshelf next to her bed. "Oh Mom!! Not that again! I have read it so many times that it is boring!" Atharv groaned. "The more bored you get, the quicker you go back to sleep. So yes... it is going to be this book I am afraid." Chandni smirked at him.

Just as he approached a room’s doorway, he heard Tina and Kara’s conversation drifting from inside the room. “Tonight’s bedtime story is called ‘Tadpoles Searching for Their Mommy.’ The warm spring is here… A bunch of little tadpoles want to look for their mommy… After overcoming all the obstacles, the little tadpoles finally found their froggy mommy. Together, they lived happily ever after…” Tina’s tone was gentle as she read the bedtime story out loud from the storybook to her daughter. Kara lay in her arms, her heavy eyelids already glued together. “Our organization makes and sells these to help with cancer research but we also like giving them to the kids. Each type of bear has a name and a picture book to go with it.
