I pulled a book from the shelf, its cover adorned with intricate gold filigree, and settled into a near president to read. The book was a comprehensive companion to the history of angels and their fall from grace. As I read, I learned about the great elysian rebellion led by Lucifer, the brightest and most important of the angels. It detailed the events that led to the fall, the creation of Hell, and the eternal struggle between good and evil. My heart contended as I came across passages that mentioned Lorcan, though not by name, but by description a important departed angel, second only to Lucifer, known for his strength and fidelity.

But I wish I was able to tell my mom and Skylar too. I sat there for a while, thinking about everything I heard today when a thought crossed my head. "Why did he fall?" I suddenly blurted out. Zach raised his brows and I continued, "Well I did some research and in order for him to become a fallen angel, he must've done something bad as an angel, right? What did he do?" "Let's just say, he--" Zach abruptly stopped what he was saying and his eyes widened. What happened? He stood up in panic and looked around the hallway frantically. When he didn't find anything, he ushered me to stand up and I did.

Hearing my question, Erika immediately frowned in confusion. "Why do you suddenly want to tell a story?" asked Erika confused. "Because this story happened several hundred years ago!" I said reluctantly. Erika was silent, but after that she nodded slowly. "In the past, there was an Angel who fell in love with a human. The human could see the Angel, just like you. You know that's not a normal thing to happen, you shouldn't be able to see us. Then the angel and the human got closer and finally fell love. It was clearly against the rules of heaven, they were then punished. Some Angels I know warned me not to do the same thing. Don't make me fall in love with you. Done!"

‘Angels are spiritual beings that can, to a certain degree, take on physical form at will. But when they descend to Earth as a Fallen Angel, they morph into a solid body, immortal yet dead, waiting for their final judgment to take place. They retain their abilities and powers; to use it for good or evil is their choice, but with the promise of Hell if they do so to hurt humans. Numerous reasons are present why an angel becomes a Fallen, but all of these led straight to their rules. Once broken, punishment is to be made. It is said that the greatest sin an angel can commit is to love something or someone more than God.’

After a silence that lasts for mere minutes, I continue, “You know that story that you used to tell me, the one about the child that shall be born into mankind?” “Dear Damien, you will need to be a bit more specific; I have no idea what you are referring to.” “The child that shall be born from an Angel.” “Ah,” my mom falls back in her chair and starts to tell it to me once again, “There shall be an Arch Angel that will fall in love with a human female. They shall spend a night in lustful sin, and from their union, there shall be a child born.” Then I continue, “This child shall remain on earth and grow amongst the humans.”

Julian is of the Fallen Race, one of the angels damned and hurtled to earth for mating with mortal women and contaminating mankind’s genetics, siring children that grew into giants. before he left. "You," I whispered not being able to look at his face. He was covered in blood which I'm sure wasn't his. "This is my job, Andrea. I have to do this," he said taking a few steps towards me. "This isn't the Theo I know," I whispered backing up, "This is a whole entire spawn of Satan." And I was right. With blood dripping from his clothes he looked the part too. He chuckled darkly and for some reason I wasn't scared. "That's where you're wrong," he whispered. My back hit the wall as backed away from him. He leaned closer and whispered, "I am the devil himself."

He looked at her with contempt and anger. She chuckled and shook her head. "Actually, I have. I have been on that other side four times and I know what it is like. I was five years old when I first found myself on that other side. I was tortured and nearly killed when my dad rescued me." He looked at her with shock and disbelief, he found it hard to imagine her being weak and kidnapped. He felt pity for her, he never would have imagined that her life had been so hard at such a young age.

He chuckled at the expression on her face and silenced her with his lips again as she tried to speak but she wouldn't even have spoken if she had wanted to because he took her mind off every thoughts except the feel of him, his body and his heart.
