He stepped away from Aria's body who was lying there unconscious. "Wha-what... Master Alexander..." The man immediately recognized the dangerous man that towered over him. His hand shook as he tried to put on the trousers he had taken off earlier. He raised his hands, a sign that he would not fight, and he would not do anything in front of the Mafia leader. He wouldn't dare, or his life and his family's would be at stake. Alex looked at him with a cold gaze. Without a word, he grabbed the gun in his coat pocket and shot both of his legs.

There was also the one where he expects her to be waiting for him as she stood on the balcony looking down the road where his car would be seen from afar and wave her hands as he gets closer to the house. But never the scene that happened actually. He had never had anyone pranked or played tricks on him among the women he had ever been with—long or short relationships. His buddies do not dare either. They know the consequences of messing with Denny Vero. He doesn't play fair when it comes to revenge. And so, after making a fool out of Denny one time, his friends did not dare anger or piss him again. They were made sure to remember and tell the tale to warn others, but that memo did not reach

God, what the fuck did I just get pulled into? Surely I could find a way out of this, right? People have clawed their way through worse. I just had to stay alert. Stay sharp. "Don't try anything funny," one of the guys beside me growled. "Don't think we're easy to fool." "I'm just a little boy. What tricks would I even be able to play?" I said sweetly, voice dripping with sarcasm. The one next to me laughed. "Ah, the little omega actually accepted his fate!"

Now we've settled this, I'll get going" " Really? You want to fool me? I'm sorry but you can't fool me" " What are you trying to say? "You think I'm a cool, right? You've asked your men to play along. You've got one of your men tied up and ask him pretend to be some stranger who murdered Lia. Wow! Quite a dumb idea, you failed to deceive me"

“But he... He still refuses to let me go! “The tricks he used in the past won’t work on me anymore. Pretending to die, look weak, faint, injured... “Don’t tell me that you have no idea how cunning Mr. Stewart is. Never in my life have I ever seen anyone throw Mr. Stewart to the ground so hard that his head could hit the ground with a single push.” Clearly refusing to believe him, she took a faint glance before continuing, “I’m afraid this is just another trick of the mighty President Stewart, am I right? “Ray Sierra, what will you do if you’re in my position? “Walk right into the trap, repeat the same mistakes, and continue to live under this perpetual fear?

I elbow his stomach and step on his foot. He gets his arms around me and is holding me in a headlock. My one hand blocking his thick arm from my neck. His other hand on the back of my head. I struggle to break it until I butt kick my foot right in between his legs. He instantly falls to the ground, holding himself. All the guy's cringe and groan while the ladies high five each other and cheer. Jayson looks like he's going to be sick. Tears are coming from his eyes.

A slow, sleazy grin crept over his face, sending a shiver through me. I quickly looked away, focusing on the drink orders in front of me, but I could feel his gaze boring into me. My fingers fumbled with the bottle of whiskey as I poured a shot, spilling a little on the counter. Trina noticed immediately, her sharp eyes darting from the spill to me. “You good?” she asked, sounding concerned as she efficiently wiped up the spill with a rag. “Yeah,” I lied, forcing a smile. “Just… clumsy today.” Trina didn’t look convinced. She leaned in closer, her voice dropping to a whisper. “That asshole’s been staring at you since you walked in. You want me to handle it?”

But I wasn't going to let him find out about my trickery nor was I going to give him a hint of anything. So I scoffed and gave him an answer. "Yeah, right. Like a guy like you would come down to a motel for anything better? I'm not stupid, Dennis. Just say I'm right. You came here to have sex with a lady. Isn't that right?" I interrogated with confidence, crossing my arms. And just as I hoped, Dennis sighed and confessed —raising both arms up to accept the truth, "You're right. I came down here to have some fun with a hot chick."

At the same time, the bartender served my drink putting him out of his misery. The man beside me picked the glass of drink from above its rim and as he was passing it to me I saw some powder falling in the drink from his scrunched fist and smirked inwardly. Moron. It was the oldest trick in the book… To trick me, that also with a rape-drug he would need to step up his game.

"Don't ever, in your life, dream of pulling that stunt again." Nobody glanced at her, one eyebrow lifting slightly. "I didn't realize I pulled a stunt. And what stunt might that be?" "Don't play coy with me, Nobody!" she blurted out. "You just tricked me and made me fall on you, you sly, slippery smartass." Nobody raised a hand like a schoolboy gesturing for permission to speak. Then said, "Actually, you tripped on your own. You were falling. I tried to save you from falling for the ground. You ended up falling for me."
