“I’m in Bellmore. Stranded. I need your help.” My blood ran cold. I gripped the phone tighter, my knuckles turning white. “Lydia?”

She reached desperately toward it~~ Only for a pair of powerful arms to wrap around her waist. Before she could react, her body was effortlessly thrown over someone's broad shoulder. "No! Put me down! Put me down!" She kicked and pounded against the muscular back carrying her away from the shoreline. Her resistance accomplished nothing. Growing desperate, Fiora lifted her head just in time to watch the helicopter disappear into the distant sky. No... They had truly abandoned her here. Thud! She let out a muffled cry as her body was suddenly tossed onto warm, dry sand. For a brief moment, she lay motionless. Then she looked up.

I scanned the shoreline, my stomach twisting. No yachts. No boats. Nothing. I turned sharply to Andrea, my voice barely above a whisper. “Tell me this was planned.” Andrea’s smirk vanished. His jaw tightened.That silence was all the answer I needed.We were stranded.

“Can we celebrate somewhere that doesn’t involve explosives?” Dante laughed. “Boring.” Leo rolled his eyes but smiled. “Fine. We take a break. No guns, no plans, just… peace.” Isabella raised her glass. “To peace.” They all clinked their glasses, but deep inside, Isabella wondered—how long could peace really last? A Message from the Grave Two days later, the team was still anchored off the coast of Greece, enjoying what little peace they had. But peace never lasted. Ethan’s laptop beeped. A secure message had come through, marked urgent.

Carla froze for a moment, then quickly rushed downstairs to open the door. As expected, an elderly man with a refined aura stood outside, slowly shaking his head with a sigh. Carla stared at him in shock. The fortune teller walked inside and said, "Give me the straw." Amanda quickly handed it over. He took one look and said calmly, "The soul belonging to the long straw is no longer in that body. He may be dead, or he may be asleep. Either way, he is gone."

I sighed deeply shaking my head to clear the drowsiness that wouldn't let me concentrate. On top of everything, l had no passport. This only meant that it was impossible to get back on the plane and head back home. I was totally stranded, l couldn't even sneak in the luggage. I was stranded in the middle of no where, whose name I couldn't even pronounce. I was afraid to leave the airport, at least getting someone who speaks English would help me but my impression was scaring them away already. I shivered at the thought.

He got a stiffy just being NEAR a woman like Anya. "Hey guys," said Nathan excitedly. There was another man beside him when he emerged from the building. "Snake?" Mindy exclaimed, embracing the thin man. Snake was one of the Strays who had left after the last battle with the Hellspawn. He was a thin man whose Talent was the ability to run at tremendous speed across or even up most any surface. "Yeah," he said with a blush. "Nathan told me what was up and . . . and I felt like crap for leaving anyway so . . ."

Marie lowered her voice and said, "I don't have so much money on me now. I will call you when I have gathered enough money.” Tommy left the hospital after Marie's promise. Marie was really upset. She was on a spout of bad luck recently. First, Malcolm had left her and got back together with his wife. He had even kicked her out so now she was basically homeless. Then, Tommy came to blackmail her. How much worse could things get?

I trusted you more than all the people I grew up with. What a strange thing for me to do, right? Well, I'm a strange person anyway. doing something to add up on that growing list of all the weird things I did in life wouldn't hurt. Anyways, I also want to say that I miss you. I just want someone to save me from this hell. I want to yowl at my misfortune, the feelings of being impotent are in breaking frame. I'm not even crying anymore. I'm just numb. I feel hopeless. Powerless. Helpless. Weak. Vulnerable. Whatever you name it. I have no control over my life anymore and I doubt I'll ever have. I am just a puppet now and Ivan is my master. He will pull my string and I'll have to act accordingly. I felt fatigued looming, like an epidemic I couldn't fight. But as my eyes were about to shut, the door unlocked with a loud click, my heart racing in my chest. I was sure they would kill me now.
