Strawberry, dark red filling glistening under the cabin lights. Something cold settled over his face. "Damn it. She's allergic to strawberries." I stared at him, the words landing strange in my ears. I'd never told him that. I'd never told anyone in this house that, not once, not even Rosa. The same unsettled feeling crept up my spine that had followed me the night the black dress fit down to the smallest.

Below the cupcakes, there were some bottles of strawberry crush. As he kept digging further, he discovered many some flavored treats like wafers, pocky sticks, candies, and much more. The last thing he pulled out was a fluffy strawberry shaped pillow. it had a winking expression and pouty lips. He turned it around to find a sticky note which read, "I'm sorry" in tiny handwriting.

It made me feel happy. I walked back downstairs to have something to eat whilst waiting for Gwen. I hadn't eaten anything since morning. I ended up having strawberries while sitting outside in the backyard with Jim nearby in his cage. The strawberries were big and delicious, fresh from a strawberry farm. Recently, I had a big appetite and craving for strawberries. I had them almost everyday and never got tired of them.

They promise sweetness, but most of the time they are sour and watery.”

Ella spotted me at the front and immediately pouted, complaining, “Celine, look at Alpha Leon! He insists on making me eat foie gras. I’m getting fat from him feeding me!” Leon didn’t even look at me. He gently wiped the corner of her mouth. “Be good. Finish this and drink your milk.” The chatter around me fell silent. I met their awkward gazes, still smiling as I guided them to their seats. Once everyone was settled, I took out my phone again and continued arranging my ferry ticket. At some point, Leon appeared behind me. He glanced at my screen, his tone puzzled. “A ferry ticket? Who are you booking that for?”

She pulled open the fridge. "Do you want some blackberries and cream? How about wine?" She cringed at sounding like a seductress—she'd offered berries to an intergalactic killing machine. "Yummy. Ooh! You have strawberries!" Stralath leaned past her and reached for the fruit. "Earth grows the best food, and nothing in this universe tastes like strawberries." He cracked open the container and dug in. "I wish I could preserve them forever." At this moment, he behaved more like an excited kid.

"Though you might want to rescue that strawberry before it falls." Ravyn looked down to see that her collision had caused her to juggle a chocolate-covered strawberry, which was now precariously balanced on her palm. She laughed amused at what she saw. "Excellent reflexes," she said, securing the strawberry properly. "Though I'm not sure I could eat this without making a complete mess of myself." "A tragedy, really," the stranger said, his green eyes twinkling with mischief. "That strawberry is far too beautiful to waste. Perhaps I could assist?"

Devrim frowned at it as he shook his head. “No. What do you mean I have triggers?” I sat down with my knees bent and an elbow resting on one as I pulled a strawberry from the can. Flavour exploded in my mouth when I took the first bite. Strawberries were one of my favourite fruits, along with oranges. Devrim hated fruits and Ezra loved sweets like Vanya. “Obsidian?”
