His staff trembled against mine, flickering as he panted. “Second strike.” We waved the staff slowly so they met near our knees. “Third strike.” I lifted mine slowly so the staves met in the middle. Duke shook, and sweat poured down his forehead. I couldn’t help but feel bad that he was so far ahead of me.
