“When did you get back home?” I ask. They left after the war and Rik’s parents’ deaths, needing time to grieve away from the pack.
“We arrived this morning, but you and your mate were otherwise occupied,” Uncle Rik says, smirking at his son.
“I refuse to apologize for spending time with my mate,” he says, wrapping his arms around me from behind.
