Rebel’s took a cookie, bit into it, and closed her eyes a second longer than necessary. “Horribly good, at least it's not poisoned” she said.
Catya took one, too, and sat on the arm of the sofa, watching the boys rebuild the fort with fabric swatches now declared to be banners. Her gaze asked me a question I answered with a nod: yes, we’re okay.
