Novel & Cerita Summer Camp Pranks

Before everything fell apart. I stopped walking, my chest tightening as an image of summer camp flashed through my mind. It was just a stupid prank, one of Andrian’s wild ideas. He had convinced me to sneak into the girls’ cabin to switch out their shampoo with food coloring. I was terrified of getting caught and thought of a hundred and one ways everything could go wrong, but Andrian had that grin, the one that made you believe you could do anything. “You’re overthinking, Alex,” he’d said, pulling me by the wrist. “Live a little.”

Every year we leave for a week, somewhere out of our home town, summer county in Utah, for the annual "camp." Not the kind of camp you see on TV's. With marshmallow roasting, campfire singing, kumbaya hugging, always laughing camp. Well I mean we do those things, Occasionally. I guess it's not much of a camp, it's more of a tournament. A competition per say. Competing against other packs, for god knows what. I guess its to see who has the bigger set of balls. Yes I know it's stupid, Heck even Adam was happily going to remove our pack from ever going back to this "camp." A word only used as an excuse, for alphas, like his dad who had a idiotic rivalry against each other.

We were both mean to Kara, but it wasn't supposed to go as far as it did. The memories flooded back, unbidden and unwelcome. I saw myself at Meadow Summer Camp, a carefree girl with a wicked streak. Kara was the quiet one, always with her nose in a book, the perfect target. Lilly and I took pleasure in teasing her—hiding her things, mocking her clothes, tripping her in the dining hall. Childish pranks, or so we thought.

However, that was just a detail, in front of all the young people and children who were there, euphoric, raising signs and shouting at the top of their lungs. “Free Liam!” several of them screamed, while a group of girls, who weren't much younger than Liam, shouted things around Andy like, "You're going to be okay, Liam!", "I don't care if there are fewer Summer Camp movies now, onwards!”, “We love you, we want to see you happy!”.

Soon, all the excited boys present began to raise their hands and speak out loud, proposing their ideas for the activity and the maze. As the proposed activity for that weekend, the camp would have a large maze with obstacles in the middle of the forest, and each group would have to plan an obstacle in the maze for the other groups. The pack that would win would be the one that could escape the maze first, and what they would get as a prize was a surprise from the camp organization.

Sighing, she steps closer and wraps a hand around my shoulder. “It’s a school tradition. Every year, seniors prank the freshmen pretending to kidnap them and drag them all the way here. It’s just a little game created a long time ago, other to earn your release they will send you all out on a scavenger hunt through the surrounding forest to look for a specific item and whoever brings back that item first, becomes the Scavenger King or Queen of the year.”

Kira said, nudging a strawberry shake in her direction. “We brought reinforcements,” Sara grinned, waving a test-prep book. “Because the real exam isn’t next week, it’s surviving this math review.” Alison groaned. “Don’t remind me.” The girls spent the afternoon in their usual booth, working through flashcards, laughing at Sara’s dramatic rants, and planning for graduation. The camp trip, scheduled for the weekend after graduation was a major topic. “ I printed the checklist for camping stuff,” Kira announced. “We’re going to need snacks, a lighter, pullovers, hoodies,… and maybe a werewolf repellent.”

Summer was very resistant to surgery. “You have to change her thoughts, and do it quickly.” Samson nodded. I asked Autumn. “They are Williowson, Stanlina, Ayliza, Reggina, Autumna, Zina & Trisha” said Autumn “okay then” I said then I looked at the families of the missing children, Henry, Noah, William, Clara, Ignited Spirits, FNIA Ignited Spirits & Fallen Spirits appeared I looked at Gabriel’s family “Gabe’s father Jamie, Gabe’s mother Lily & Gabe’s Big Bro Frederick” I said looking at them, Frederick pats my head “its nice to be your family bud” said Frederick “I know Fred, do you still play with Gabe, your lil’ bro?” I asked Frederick “sometimes, I do feel guilty about pranking the missing children” said Frederick “it’s nice to prank someone from time to time but the reason I stop doing pranks

she sighed, “I’m sorry kids but it’s not in my power, I really thought he heard me that day.” “Don’t worry kids, we usually hold camping holidays here every summer so you can sign up if you want and will get to come back and play actual games with opponents. It’s usually fun and we hope you kids can make it. You will also get the chance to meet students your age and get to make new friends. We hope you will join us this summer,” Acacia smiled warmly to everyone and some mumbled while some nodded and some just kept quiet. I was among the quiet group.
