Als sie viele Tage später zum Rudel zurückkehrten, waren sie schockiert, als sie erfuhren, dass ich ein Angebot der Oberheilerin eines benachbarten Rudels angenommen hatte. Die Position erforderte fünfzehn Jahre isolierte Kräuterforschung. Ich konnte nie wieder nach Hause zurückkehren. In jener Nacht brachen sie zusammen.

Bei einem Ausflug in den Vergnügungspark brachte mein Beta-Freund Drew plötzlich eine Frau mit ihrer kleinen Tochter mit. Im Auto fehlte zufällig genau ein Sitzplatz.
