Two fire sorcerer walked past, their bright orange robes stark against the darkness. “Are the preparations for the canyon meeting finished?” one asked quietly. “They are. Two days from now, right when the moon peaks,” the other replied. “The Pyromancers don’t like waiting. They want to make sure the resurrection ritual is perfect. No more failures like the last attack.” My heart skipped. Pyromancers. They were talking about the same sorcerers who attacked us—being brought back to life.
