Witches and wolves were one group (though they lived apart), and elves and vampires were another. Loheiruchel helplessly smiled. “I mean, the elves might have wanted to escape from the mother tree’s control.” He answered. Mhir’s eyes widened in shock. “The elves, who love the sunlight so much, would sacrifice the sunlight just to hide here.” Loheiruchel continued. “This means that they deeply feared the mother tree, especially the mother tree tracking them.” He said.

Meanwhile, in a black forest, five black-armored elven men were being bombarded with magic spells and arrows by eight orange color-armored elven men. The five black-armored elven men’s skin was a bit darker than normal elves, their ears were a bit longer and wider, two of them had fangs out from the corner of their mouth. And the orange color-armored elven men, they had an insignia on the chest of the armor, which was designed as a star, a sun and a moon were inside of a circle and the circle was inscribed on a watchtower symbol, it was the insignia of the Eldarin Court Watchers.

I pulled on the robe and straightened the cuffs. "Let's go. We have visitors." Beyond the barrier of the Underworld, violent explosions thundered. Apollo and a legion of Sun Guards were launching a frenzied assault on the Abyss defenses. Raging solar fire scorched through the outer darkness, burning voids of emptiness into it. Hades and I stood side by side atop the barrier wall, looking down at Apollo below, raging like a rabid dog. "Selene! Get out here!" Apollo's eyes were bloodshot, and the edge of his solar blade was chipped and bent from the assault.

The sparks from the flint died before they could touch the tinder. "The fire is dead, Alpha," Silas said, his breath hitching in a cloud of frozen mist. "The air... it won't let the flames live." The people of the fortress—exiles, warriors, and the survivors from the valley—were huddling together, their skin turning a translucent blue. I saw a mother clutching her pup, her tears freezing on her cheeks before they could fall. "Darlene," my father rasped, leaning against a pillar. "The Sun-Walkers... they didn't just forge weapons. They forged Sanctuaries".
