"Uncle Sunny, it's been years since we last met. How come you—" "You mean my health?" Sunny interrupted before Liam could finish. Sunny hesitated, a conflicted expression briefly crossing his face, then he smiled and said, "I had a severe illness, and this is how I ended up." Liam frowned. "A severe illness?" With his keen observation, Liam immediately saw that Sunny's condition was not due to an illness. Rather, it was from an injury that had not healed properly, leading to a serious infection. However, before Liam could say anything further, Sunny carefully glanced at him and spoke, "Liam, did you come alone today? Didn't your wife come with you?"

"If there really were gods watching, I wouldn’t be suffering like this." She froze. The prayer book slipped from her hands and fell to the floor. "Tyler…" "I want chicken casserole," I cut her off. "Okay, okay, I’ll go make it right now." She hurriedly picked up the book and rushed out. I knew I wouldn’t be able to eat it. I just wanted her gone because I needed some quiet. Now, it was just Jonathan and me in the room. "Uncle Jonathan," I called. "I’m here." He traced words into my palm, letting me know he was there.

Suddenly, he felt a strange vibration throughout his body and looked up to see unfamiliar words written on the cave wall. With a burst of light, the words disappeared, and he saw the light shoot up to the moon, surrounded by a shimmering dance of stars. He followed the light until he found himself in the maternity ward of Corer Hospital. The light stopped at Ward 119, and he heard the cry of a newborn baby.

“Is Luna Brett sad?” “Not at all. I get to be here with you and that makes me so happy.” Peter’s face lit up. “Mamma is poking me, so that means we have to go. Bye!” “Bye, Peter.” Keeping my face towards the sky, I just walked back into the packhouse and back into Piercy’s office. To my surprise, no one was here. The binder was still there, though. Grabbing it all, I might as well try to at least be a luna.

For now, she didn't even want to wonder what would happen if aunt Margareth finds out about her feelings. Finally, I felt as at ease as before, after a few days at school, when nobody knew me and kept away because of my not-so-friendly image. Christmas and New Year's Eve came quickly, and passed even faster, which made the winter break pass faster than many weekends. I smiled and gave her the book. “What’s this?” she asked, and her eyes widened when she saw the title of the book. “Spell Book?” I nodded. “Yes, study that, and I’m sure you can learn a lot of techniques available there on how to use your power. Once you know how to do all the spells in the book, it will automatically disappear.” I said. “Wow! Thanks, Luna! This is so cool!” she said happily and hugged me. “It’s nothing, Mirai,” I said while smiling.
