The Midnight Sun

The Midnight Sun

It would be so amazing. “Let’s go enjoy the rest of the party.” Selena said pulling me along with her. She took me to meet so many people that I could barely catch my breath. By the end of an hour, my feet hurt, my stomach ached from hunger and there was a blur of faces in my head. I finally found an opportunity to escape so I grabbed a plate of meat skewers and a cup of soda and escaped outside. The sky was dark and stars were glistering. I love the night sky which was why I always liked to run when it was dark. I found a rock and sat on it. From there I could see the lights in the small county. It was an amazing sight here I have to say. It was the highlight of my evening.

Sirensong

Sirensong

I wonder if it would be higher if it wasn’t near the cliffside. My mind kinda went blank as my vision was ensnared by the California shore that passed. It was early in the evening so the sun had just begun to set. The water sparkled and was an almost dark purple shade, which contrasted from the soft pink and golden oranges that swirled in the horizon. I saw some dolphins or seals jump out of the water in the distance. I smiled as it was like they were waving to me and welcoming me into their home.

Captured

Captured

But his favorite among it all was when the sun was drawling goodbye, giving the moon a chance to rise and flex how bright it is with the stars accompanying him in the dark night. He stared at the horizon between the sky and ocean, where the sun hid. He breathed and smiled before he directed his hands towards his face, look at the sight he was capturing and snapped! He stayed there on the shore after capturing the view for a moment and when he turned and was about to leave; he saw someone on the other side, not too far away from him. Primo was frozen, and the only thing he can do was to stare at the handsome guy matching the sunset he was facing. Everything was shining, the fading lights from

So they also moves back to the shore to enjoy the sunset. Aroon watches as the younger smiles looking at the point were the sea meets the sky. His eyes lidded from the last rays of the sun as he watches the colours of sunset spread across the sky, hues of orange and lilac swirling with the blue of the sky behind the dimming sun, that now slowly sinks into the horizon.

Taming Sunrise

Taming Sunrise

He told me that a woman named Sunset was living with him who looks exactly like her. Of course, I knew who he was pertaining to. Sunset is Dusk’s first name. He said that it would be nice for me to meet her and take her home since she was in trouble. When I asked what kind of trouble she was in, he just stared at me and said this in a Japanese accent… “Need not to know.” It weirded me out but I really wanted to check on Dusk anyway.

Amazing story so far, I love it. You pull readers in directly from the first chapter. I had a hard time putting it down. Absolutely one of my newest favorites. Thank you for your hard work as a writer.

Truly enjoyed reading this story! The only thing I would say is I wish there was either Dawn POV or Caleb POV at the beginning of each chapter or at the changes throughout the chapters when the POVs changed between the two. Other than that, really well written!! Good job author! 😊

Teasing Phoenix

Teasing Phoenix

PHOENIX It’s almost sunset—the colors of blue and violet scattering the sky with yellow-orange and red are covering most of it. Everyone gathers at the shore, sitting at the beach chairs to witness the sunset. The chopped woods are already piled for the bonfire later. The smooth sand caresses my bare-foot in every step I make. The sound of waves rippling softly at the shores is so calm as I walk hand in hand with my fiancée, Samantha through the shoreline.

Twin Flames

Human warmth was the best way to beat chilly weather. She sat in silence and didn’t force him to answer, eyes closed as she listened to him breathing and his heart beating against his chest. The soft, chilly breeze lightly kissed her on her cheeks, making her open her eyes. “Look at the sunset,” her tone pleasing to the ear. Pointing at the shadow of the sun from the pond. “When I’m sad and frustrated with life, I always look for a sunset. After it sets, darkness fills the sky. But it’s that promise of the morning sun the following day that reminds me life goes on, and this too shall pass.”

In Bed with My Hot Brother-In-Law

In Bed with My Hot Brother-In-Law

Beside the pool, plush white outdoor sofas were arranged alongside softly burning aromatherapy candles, a warm pot of chamomile tea, and an assortment of luxury refreshments. The evening breeze gently blew through my hair. The tranquility of this place instantly washed away much of the tension that had accumulated on my shoulders since noon. I had to admit, Shane's choice of location was undeniably comfortable. I stepped closer to the edge of the pool, taking in the cool breeze that soothed my mind. Shane walked quietly behind me, keeping enough distance so I wouldn't feel intimidated. "How is it? Do you like it?" he whispered smoothly. He stood beside me, gazing out at the sunset casting a

My Last 100 Sunsets

My Last 100 Sunsets

In my sixth year of running an inn in Rimevale, I'm diagnosed with bone cancer. I leave the inn in the hands of my fiancé, Eric Jones, and head to Varenia with nothing but an old enamel mug. Once I'm there, I start a livestream called "My Last 100 Sunsets." Every day at 7:00 pm, I turn the camera toward the snowcapped mountains and make coffee just out of frame. On my 31st livestream, a comment suddenly catches my eye. "Wait. Does that mug at the edge of the frame have a V-shaped chip in it?" Six years ago, when a blizzard left us stranded in the mountains, I kept that same mug filled with hot spiced cider for Eric all night. The chat explodes. "That's Alice Graham from Veylune Inn!"

Toward the Sun

Toward the Sun

Java, 1586 The wind howled across the coast. The sun blazed from the peak of a sharp blue sky, while massive waves exploded against the black rocks lining Karang Bendan's shoreline. On a stretch of smooth sand, two men stood facing each other, separated by little more than eight feet.
